Not sure Joe, but I think it takes a bit more HP to spin the Konrad.

I am looking for a 90 mph boat. I need to be conservative for my first true go fast.
I want to get the boat so I can sign up for Tres school. I will go faster later. I have raced ice drag sleds that ran over 100 mph in 660 ft . Doubled hp and torque numbers on my Harleys . Just addicted to performance. Not the fastest, otherwise I would not be on a Harley. But to build the fastest Harley around my town was the addiction for me. My cousin and I have built him and his kid some 8oo hp corvette club cars. But, fast boats were always my passion growing up on the water. I just never could afford much in the way of true performance. I have kids in college and my boats have been 30-40,000 pleasure cruisers. I will some day own a twin 38-42 , maybe a cat but not ready for that skill level. I am old enough now to leave the throttle in the bottle instead of my young stupid race days . Just glad to still be alive when I think about it. I cant get enough of performance boat talk. Thank you for taking the time to talk to me.

The 525 is a great motor. Its just the CMI headers that are in question. I'm sure there are other headers out there, I have a set of factory reconditioned Stellings. As for the drives I have nothing but great things about the Konrad drive, as for the XR I have been lucky with mine. Rebuilt every seasons and oil changes every 15 hours. No issues. No trailer, my Y2K is always on a lift in season. As for the questions, not a problem, I love talking boats. Give me a call ,Thanks Gary.
