Randy Courson (Wildman) on Scream and Fly can get you some 300Rs'. I bet he has them in stock. Tell him Bob from Lake Murray suggested you call him if your interested. He is a good guy, great painter and rigger.

Thank you for the insight. I do review his builds, the liberators certainly rock. I have asked myself how the heck is he getting them. Initially JC thought he had a line on a pair from a connection in Florida. We lost time waiting for them to pan out, it never happened. I have had a few leads with some ridiculous prices, no thanks... The seasons pretty much over. I’m waiting on a custom stainless marine bracket to be delivered. I had a 6 month turn around on my 1st Y2K build back in 2005 and was hoping for the same turn around but not so fortunate this go around. Oh well I’m being patient and I’m pleased how it’s coming out so far.

I just got another pair of 20" 300R RH & LH wingplate motors. These have the 1.60 gears. These are DTS motors. $61,500 for the pair. Email [email protected] or call Randy at 386=295-2132

So my curiosity got the best of me the other day as we wait for the transom bracket and motors etc, so I asked JC if he could weigh the hull as it sits without interior which he did 2800 lbs.... good to know...

Gary it was great talking with you the other day. Always a pleasure to compare ideas and setup... Be patient and wait for the process to unfold, it's worth it to see it all come together. You are going to be very happy with the boat and setup that you are doing.

Likewise Cary, I appreciate your prospective and insight. It’s good intel on what’s working and what’s not for you. Thanks again for your input and hope you get some time back on the water for more prop testing.

Thanks for your interest. As far as updates, a little bit here and they’re doing some of the wiring and dash layout, got the hardware back from the powder coater for the seat bases as well as a bracing for the transom, working on the plumbing the ballast tank. I have been pressing John to get busy on the vinyl as well. As mentioned earlier we’ve been told January the motors will be available though we have not heard anything since. Will be chasing that after the first of the year. In reference to my trailer I’ve had issue with the length of the trailer overall as the tongue forward of the nose of my boat is exceedingly long for my purposes. Almost a good 5-6 feet, creating a problem where I keep my boat overall Figuring from the back of the motors to the trailer ball equaling 40 feet. Dan at Rolls axel trailer will most likely be picking the trailer up and addressing the issue as its just too long. He has been very accommodating thus far, but it looks like the trailer may take another trip to Florida to fix. So that’s not an issue for now as the boat is sitting on the dolly's in the rigging shop. Overall a little lull in the action but things should be picking up shortly “fingers crossed”.
