I grew up in massapequa, harbour green right next to ted wenacur who owned orange julius. his son russel owned a 1982 16ft cc, named schaefer city. boat was maroon in color. i bought it from ted around 1990 and owned it for about 4-5 years. i have some pics i will post. if anyone knows where it is or if by some miracle for sale please contact keith at [email protected]..

anybody know about that 16cc on craigs list? how can it be a 1997, plus i spoke to john and he said if i got at least 10 people together to buy the 16cc he would re- use mold that needs work to begin with.. is that 97a fake?

What a great thread. I grew up on West Shore Dr in Nassau Shores (I lived next door to Joe L - now owner of Hustler) - knew the OJ boats well - seeing that boat all the time is what made me always (and still) want a 16 super cc!!

I chuckled reading about massapizza earlier too - I delivered pizza for them in HS - and John's mother was my 5th grade teacher!

The wife has me looking for a 16-18 foot OB for her to take out by herself - I tried talking her into the SB but shes not having it :>

Hello all Super 16 owners! I'm a Long Islander down in North Carolina. bought my 16 up on Lake Ontario in 2001. Did a fairly good job of restoring it. However the deck is starting to get soft. so feel free to hit me up with all you great demo pics and ideas as far as taking the floor out.

So the Cafe Racer, the 16 Donzi, the 20 Cigarette and the 16Superboat must all go.

I'll keep the 10' Caribe and buy one other boat...probably a 33 Cafe Open or an Intrepid.

Too little time to use them all at this point and I spend more time and money maintaining them than I care to.

seeking 16' Superboat measurements
 

I know this is an old thread but, for anyone looking at this who may have info - I'm doing a total renovation / rebuild on a vintage 16' Superboat. Unfortunately during bead blasting, the markers we placed for the center console position were lost. I've tried hard to get a reliable measurement for accurate / original position of the center console but have come up empty. I even went to see JohnC over in Lindenhurst. Any helpful suggestions appreciated. If anyone knows of an accessible 16 footer in the Nassau / Suffolk area (preferably South Shore), please let me know. Thanks very much.
