Thanks buddy. I was so busy getting ready for the race I was confused. I had to
make hull numbers
get nonskid to tape the deck
get duct tape to hold down all the cleats
borrow approved helmets and life jackets
borrow 100' tow rope
make a second kill teather
get inspected twice
chase down everyone
lotsa phone calls

Kids are 12, 15, 17, they attempted to help out. After all the getting ready it really was worth it as I crossed the finish line. Racing in the pack at the start was great, I wanted to put the hammer down and run with the P-4's but I had to stay under 75mph for my class, once I got the lead I kept looking at the gages over an over. Waiting for something to go wrong. Then the fuel gage was bouncing from empty to half full at the halfway point of the race.
I ended up with a quarter tank left after all. What a feeling! The Superboat was awsome!

I think that is what most do.
You will have monster acceleration with the smaller prop, not that you don't now.
