Re: My next boat: Y2k!
T,
Would your Y2K be the one in the mold now ??? I' know we have a order for a yellow one after the white one, them I think a twin outboard after that. Or maybe the twin is next, I'm not sure. Got an e-mail from a guy named Kris that wants a twin outboard, and wanted a price. I guess the first deposit gets the white hull in the mold. After that, it's a 2 boat wait. Rick |
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Hey Rick,
Still in the mist of financing although I confident everything is fine. Credit Unions can be a bit slow...I haven't talked to JC regarding the deposit. I assume I have to talk to him about that but if he's within earshot, please let me know the amount. Thanx! T. |
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Gary, Tom, Rick and Gang,
I read every post with Superbabi and Tom's boat (name yet???). Gary, you could sell the movie rights to your thread's posts on this forum! Excitement, mystery, drama, and a great ending... it had it all!!!! To be honest, it was this forum and my phone conversations with JC that pushed me over the edge to decide on a Superboat. It seems that you're not just buying a boat, ...it's like getting a lifetime membership to some speed-freak fraternity that's driven by folks that really care about the products (and the people that buy them) leaving their shop. I look forward to "full membership". BTW, I live in Moyock, NC on the Currituck Sound. It's halfway between VA Beach and Nags Head, NC... perfect location! Oh yeah.. there's a little 22 ft Donzi running around here with a 496 in it.... I MUST kick this boat's A#$!! :blaster: Tony |
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Man, I was hoping you where on the west coast so I could have a Reggada! :D Oh, well. Another east coast Superboater in the works. :drink:

Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Guys,
Whats the going rate for a deposit these days ?? ;) |
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Yo Tony,
You anywhere near Emerald Isle ? |
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Tony, Rick, I Would Say About 15-25k $$$$
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Always put down as little as possible intially. Ya never know. Anything can happen now-a-days. Just keep throwing money every month or so towards your deposit. OH-Zone and I puchased our trailers seperate also.
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
just find out what JC will hold the boat in the mold for. Should'nt be much. Put more down later.
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Tony...Welcome dude....These things can take time as you can see. If I were you I'd consider the one JC has in the mold.
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
As far as deposit JC will tell ya what he needs...He's pretty fair with the downstroke...
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Remember that Kris from thte Great Lakes wants that boat too !! LOL This could get interesting !! A deposit war ??? :)
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
I may want a spare out here on the left coast. I have some people waiting for my boat to hit the water. How much should I charge for demo's? :D

Here's the name. Still working on the colors and design.

Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Looks Cool!!!!
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
You guys don't think I would try to "out-deposit" Khris in Great Lakes to get the boat in the mold, do ya?? :argue: LOL!!
I still have the Checkmate for this year anyway and November in NC is not boating season anyway (except for fishermen). JC said that's about the soonest I could have it. I'll give him a ring on the deposit. As long as I can have it sitting here by March, I'll be fine. Rick, I'm at the very Northeast corner of NC.. I think Emerald Isle is quite a bit South of me. Future Name of Tony's Y2K: In Decent Seas |

Wouldn't you know it... just when I'm trying to give JC some money, he doesn't answer the phone :D I guess I need to upgrade my OSO account.., start buying lots of peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, etc so I can eat for the next few years while I pay the boat off ;)

Got Head?
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Great looking heads! BTW, What trailer did you go with? I talked with Rolls but the sales person can't determine the correct model with the limited info I have.
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Talk to Dan Jr at Rolls. He should remember the two he just sent up to Superboat last month.
As for the bunks fitting, I would say it half azzed. Without them having the boat it was a guess on how to set up the forward part of the trailer bunks. The boat stays put but bunks don't line up. |
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
That's who I talked to.. he couldn't remember the trailer model...
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
The trailer specs were as follows... Model# w3070T Faster and I did 14" alloys, Disc brakes...LED lights are now standard, a spare...Faster went with a swing tongue though it doesnt shorten the trailer much....Faster, how did that swing tongue work out for you?
I can see and with discussing the middle bunks with Dan SR. I spacer may be needed to be inserted to bring that bunk up. Once I get mine I will see of by adjusting the rear bunks a bit I can get the boat to rest on the center bunks........ |
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Over all Im very impressed with the trailer but like anything a little tweaking and I(we) will be all set. As Faster said, not a bad first shot at it without a boat
