Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Wow, great news! Wish I was there today. I'll be there thurs. :evilb: The only thing I'm wondering about is, shrink wrapping the cockpit so the dirt stays out during the road trip. What do ya think? Thanks, thanks thanks.
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Tom for that ride i would shrink wrap the whole boat. The price should be around 5-7 dollars per foot.
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
who does it?
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Tom, Lightspeed May Do It. Most Boat Haulers Do It, Or The Surfeside Marina Next To Superboat. Or Just Ask John, He Knows Everyone.

Re: My next boat: Y2k!

Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Well, what do I say first. How about thanks to everyone we met. Tripps and Donna, thanks for helpng the room. Much appreciated it was great. When we went to Manhattan saturday we ended up at a beautiful hotel on fiftieth instead of Queens. You where right of course, Best Western was not for kids.
Thanks to all at Superboat. You guys are more than boat manufacturers. Awsome boat ( which I'll find out more in a few weeks when the engines done) A great group to hang out with also as you can see in the pics. Thanks for all who showed up at Toomers, JC, Rick FX, Eric Tripps and Donna, Tripps brother, Gary OH-ZONE, JIm JIMH, MIke Zuperboat and son, I know I'm missing someone and the others who I met after I already had a twelve pack I'm sorry I don't remember all the names. :drink: The boat was towed by BGCHUBBY on these OSO boards. Took him I think 48 hours to get here. Everything great except I a little poorer now! We arrived this morning at 11 am. To take delivery at the airport. |

Re: My next boat: Y2k!

Re: My next boat: Y2k!
I'm Jealous! I just started talking with JC on a new Y2K. So far, my fiance' is good with it, financing is looking good and I'm cleaning up the Checkmate to sell. Can't wait until I see mine sitting on the trailer. Congrats on yours!! I have a lot of questions regarding options and JC has been very gracious in answering every one. What's the difference between a race hull and what comes standard? Is the semi-F-16 wind deflectors on yours standard or optional? If optional, anyone know where there's a picture of a straight stock boat? Thanks in advance.

Tony have you been to Superboatonline.com? The race hull is cored with foam and balsa wood on the deck and sides. This gives it much more strength and also a couple hundred pound lighter JC says. Yes, the canopies on mine are standard. Havn't driven mine yet but out here on the west ist the best bang for the buck by far. Tom :drink: |
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Tom,
Just spoke with JC. Since I'm going with the 496 HO (no plans for a bigger engine....yet,) He said I have no need to go with the race hull. I agree since I'm already stretching my boat budget (and fiances' tolerance  ). Hummm... maybe a Procharger later on.. or maybe....... Ok, I need to focus on getting the boat built! JC said mine would look identical to yours... What a great looking boat! T |
