FD, you'll like those vests. Krakmeup, Madmax911 and I all ordered them at the same time, and they sure give you some peace of mind when the going gets rough!

Re: My next boat: Y2k!
I can't read the sheet.
Tried to save it then blow it up, but... So what are the numbers? 800HP+ ??? :evilb: |
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Clic on the pic then on the larger pic click on the lower rt corner down by the page # to increase the size again...Pat yes 801HP@6000 and 768@4800torque That should motivate the Y2K nicely :D

Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Hey faster,
Do you have any pics with those seats installed? |
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Maybe later this week. I'm waiting for the engine to be done.
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
TIC TOC, TIC TOC... :evilb:
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Well, Still waiting for the engine install. The headers are holding us up. I guess thier sold out and are making mine so I went with a powder coated blue the same as the engine. They have to be dry tailpipes because of the engine size. This thing is going to be loud. He's building 4.5" tailpipes with a 1/2" baffle inside to get it down to 100db. Then I'll have to have an externall muffler as well when required.
Just FYI, I had to modify the seats as JC said I would. The where too far from the wheel. I cut back the arm rest thats closest to the hull on both seats to get them forward enough for comfort($400). :( Graphics are designed and in route. I went with crome metal look. Should have pics in a week. Happy boating. :drink: |

Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Tom,
Is there any way you can take a pic of your trailer for me. I need a view of the front including the winch and rrear supports. I want to compare it to Garys. His went on the trailer today, tomorrow is adjustment day. Thanks Rick |
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Sorry Rick, the boat and trailer are an hour away.

Tom,
I checked out your pic of the winch and roller. You might want to adjust it like the picture I'm putting up. It puts the bow roller right on top of the bow eye. I moved the winch down one hole and the rear supports back one hole. It's much safer this way. Rick |
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
Tom,
I also had to trim off around 6" off the winch support since I lowered it. It was hanging under the trailer. |
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
I know what ya mean about safer. I towed on a rough road and the boat looked like it was going to jump off the trailer. I'll definatly adjust it. Thanks.
|
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
I'm also going to add either a tie-down strap or a safty chain in the front. I'm thinking of drilling that short I beam crossmember (in the photo above)just behind the winch stand towards where the support posts meet the trailer, for the anchor point. Also Tom when contacting Rolls Axle trailer today while I was there, There are a few adjustents still required.
1) the pieces they added on the rear bunks to accomodate the steps is too thick (they used 2" thick cypress). Those need to come off and I'm gonna replace them with pressure treated 2X6(which is 1 1/2" thick) so that the boat bottom forward of the step will then rest on the forward half of the rear bunk, cause as it is set up now theres a 1/2" space. 2)By doing the above, the boat will now come in contact with the rear portion of the front bunks. Though these bunks will have to be shimmed at the front a good 1" to follow the angle of the bottom. Then I believe I'll be all set. Tom you should check your set up also cause there isnt any real support in the middle as its set now(not good!). |
Re: My next boat: Y2k!
