That sailboat looks just like the one we saw New Year's outside of Maximo Park...:D :D :D The weather looks about the same as it was New Year's day too. Cloudy and rainy.

(At least New Year's Eve day was nice. )

Thanks for a truly great thread. Special thanks to FX10 for the picture story. Looks like some incredible craftsmanship. I also like the steps to access the front deck. I think I've seen these on Cigarette Top Guns as well.

Welcome to the SB site! Rick (FX10) has got it going on, the SB build is awesome, and you're right - the steps up front are one of the greatest features - especially if you let your bikini-clad crew handle the bow lines......

Hey Faster, welcome back! 20's??? Wow! I got out on Dec 31, but we've had sloppy wx since, so I'm doing some maintenance and finally trying to finish that stereo install. We plan to make some of the OSS events this year as support again.

SUPERAIR - that Phantom looks cool! Sign me up.......

Finally doing the stereo install??? You had your boat for 2 yrs. I thought you put it in when you bought the boat. I remember seeing a sub on the boat.

FX10 02-11-2007 06:50 AM

The sub was probably a rubber display sample. Like those cardboard TV's ya see in the furniture stores. LOL

FASTERDAMITT 02-11-2007 10:58 PM

How'd you know!?? LOL. No, I never did get the $%@#$# stereo install finished, but I have actually cut holes now - hope to finish in March. Up until now we've been too busy using the boat to stop and do an install, and all my buddies had systems to listen to when we stopped and rafted. But its time now, as RA wants HER tunes, LOL :D

FX10 02-13-2007 06:01 PM

I'll do the install...... Just cover my airfare. ;)

FASTERDAMITT 02-16-2007 03:28 PM

Damn Krack, you wife must have alot of Honey Doo's! Put your foot down! Get the boat done.

Tom, How come the Lavey crafts don't have them, or the faster big boats.

FASTERDAMITT 07-18-2007 12:04 AM

I'm not sure Rick, maybe it's not enforced??? Here is a link to the rules:

HuntingtonBeach 07-19-2007 10:58 AM

If you need a navigator for sunday let me know Tom... I was going to hang out and watch from the shore this year as we (myself, brother, dad) were all too lazy to bring a boat out from Havasu.

Good Luck if you decide to run!!!

Faster, what hp are you running ??? What is your best speed todate on your bravo xr ??? Thanks Gary

FASTERDAMITT 07-19-2007 03:47 PM

801HP and 94mph or so. I have only tried to get top speed once without all the gear and crew in the boat. It may be a tad faster, I don't know.

Thanks Faster, what drive ratio is your xr ???? Do you launch the waves much ( hang time ) ??? Are you at sea level with you speed #s.

1:50 gears. I do get out of the water often on the Pacific. I do alot of throttleing as required to go easy on the powertrain when launching and re-entering.
The speed I quoted was at Havasu in 90+ temps, fresh water and I think they are round 600ft above sea level.

Superbabi 07-20-2007 05:17 AM

Tom, how many hours on your XR ???

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:14 PM.
