Well we're now into June...surely you've been out right? Numbers? Any other news? What's next on your list. Best thread I've read since joining! Nicely done!

Thanks! Don't remind me about the calendar. Went over a wake with the hatch open last fall. The cover flipped over and tore up the fiberglass. We didn't get it glassed, gel coated, reinforcement plates made and painted and new hinges on until recently. I didn't want to go out without hour meters and I just got those in. Plus it's been raining non-stop this spring. I put it in Sunday and I couldn't get the starboard engine to fire. I probably flooded it, but I couldn't get it to clear. I ended up running the batteries down too far and pulled it out. I'm taking out the Velocity with the kids this weekend and I'll probably give it another go the following weekend.

I'm not happy with the cockpit floor and I want to re-do it. I did the cabin cushions in white vinyl over the winter. I'd like to get rid of all the gray carpet on the sides and ceiling of the cabin and put in white vinyl. I have my sights set on some Konrad drives. There are plenty of minor things on my list as well.

When the port engine fired, my dog jumped about 3 feet in the air. That sucker's loud! It has dry exhaust.

It's called paying the price without counting the cost. I like old boats. It's a problem. At least I have the Velocity which continues to be a great old boat. I don't have to worry about muddy feet and wet dogs.

I am more like that with the race cars, Try not to think about all the broken parts etc that added up with that stuff.

My boats been (knock on wood) very reliable.

Its been a nice break from drag racing for a while.

definately more family friendly so far and everyone has fun instead of having to drag them to the track on the weekend.

Your gonna spend $$ no matter what you enjoy I guess might as well do things the way you want them

what are you getting for speeds with the boat.I am looking at a 30 next week thinking about making it a single with konrad ace and 1100 hp motor I have. I was looking at the new 32 05, if he would of listed it last fall, I would have bought it on the spot but I have all that money in the new motor and drive now. so how may 30 31 out there for sale. anyone know heard theres a red one cheap in mass trying to find it. well yours came out nice and you will love the konrad go with the xfactor drive. art

No speeds yet. The MSD was bad on the starboard engine. The shop had a used one around that seemed to work. At the ramp last weekend it was only good for about a minute and died. I've got two new ones on order that should arrive in a day or two and I'll try it again this weekend.

I had it out for a little while on Friday. Taken it easy. 50 mph at 3000 rpm. 60 mph @ 3500 rpm. I didn't take it over 3500 rpm for a best of 62.3 mph. A couple more sorting issues on the list now. It seems to be a process.

Great job, mine is finally finished also. I tried 30"s, 32's and now 34's With the smaller props I have gone 91mph at 6,200 on the rev limiter with only 2psi boost. I am going to try the 34's this week if it stops raining. What's up with your floor, looks good? These boats are similar in age, style and power, if you have any questions about my set up Email me. Get her back in the water for some more testing, I will look for the results.
