Thanks Andy. I've had teething problems this summer and haven't had much time in it. At this point, I'm not happy with the handling with 32" B1's. It porpoises and starts to chine walk over 70. There isn't much point in fooling around with the props until my little fall project is complete.

When the new drives are on I'll see what difference it makes. I'd like to try some Hydromotive p5's.

Mine also handles like a twat unless I put my tabs one setting down from even with the hull bottom and adjust my trim with drives only. I made the mistake of trying to adjust my trim by raising my tabs at 85mph and had a wicked chine walk, almost threw me out of the boat. Do you spin props in or out. I have tried both, out handles best, in feels light on the transom with props easily cavitating after they come out of the water(large waves).

Mine are swinging out. I haven't tried switching them. The last time I was out the left trim tab stopped working. Fortunately it was parallel to the hull when it stopped. It might have been a good thing. At least one parameter stayed fixed for a couple of hours.

I'm very curious to see the effect of the shorter drives. I'm hoping that they will require less tab to level the boat.

I assume that you are talking about the Velocity?

With the shorter drives you won't need as much tab, even small movements of tab really effect the way the boat will handle. My boat had speedy 2's which are 2" longer than the TRS's that are on there now. Yeah, talkin about the Velocity, my old Formula would be lucky to hit 65mph

looks good I am looking at a 30 next week and a 28 saber in a few weeks. but I am pretty sure if I pull the trigger its the saber less work to covert to a single blower motor with the konrad ace package. I bet you will love the konrads everyone I talked to picked up a lil. art

I could be wrong but I thought I heard that James gang corrected his chime walking with a full hydraulic steering setup. Which I see Jammin' already has so I guess it does not apply. I do know one my stingray a prop change helped it from chime walking. I don't know if any of this means anything but I thought I would share.

Is the bottom straight? Have you had the bottom blueprinted?

As of today it has new Konrad drives. I took it out for a little while today, but took it easy. Further experimentation will have to wait until spring. It's getting winterized now.
