just redo your transom and go with Bravos for half the price

txlefty 10-24-2007 01:12 PM

I'm just afraid it will screw up my transom. I don't want to cut into it and make it weaker??? And any idea the what cost would be to redo it. I do like the way yours was finished out in black. And what about moving the motors back? I don't want to screw around with the stringers and have a problem down the road....so do I have drive shafts made? So then I'm changing out bell housings, starters, removing trannies, new gimbals ect......:readinghelp::drool::eek:

I guess that's why I have all winter!

It doesn't matter you are not going to do either. You will let Chris fix it in someones garage for 60 bucks and a steak on Tuesday, and it will work for half a day then break. At which time you will start the cycle over.

Leave it trs and have a profesional fix it right. Then save your money for the next thing to break.

joew. 10-24-2007 01:24 PM

Trojan-man, Beak42, txlefty take it in the can.

I agree w/ joew thats too many modifications. Either fix it up the way it was designed or sell it and start over.

yes, spk1 was correct, send the drives off to bam, get them back, put them on, and wait for something else to break. engines run good, trannies are good, just fix the drives. transom work, realigning engines, and all the other bs can eat a turd burger.....

Just becaus e you are sitting around with nothing to do and to lazy to go out and farm up some new leads does not give you the right to call Konrad and waste there time. Those guys need to be spending time with people that may actually spend more then 60 bucks to fix their boats.

You take it in the can and your mom dresses you funny.:D

I just got off the phone with Hatteras for 30 mins. I am looking to order a new 82' and I am trying to deside wether I should go with the 16v92's and buy a 40' center console. Or go with the 2000hp man's and have an 82' that will break forty knots. What do you all think????

I figured since Lefty was calling and jerking off people all morning I would do the same.

Award the bip because it is in order.

I will have an 82' Hatteras before you have Konrads. That is a fact..

That being said, there is no reason to make things up like I brown nose my future father inlaw. I am suprised you do not have the same relationship since you and Jenica's dad are the same age.:food-smiley-007::cool:

I hate to break up the love fest going on here, but I found out the problem with my starboard engine. CLPBS pulled the motor and found the #8 piston fried and a bent valve. The #8 spark plug was broken and he thinks it wasn't firing and might have sucked up some water causing a reversion problem. Also some signs of detonation on the piston. So time for top end rebuild with valve job and all the injectors going in for a flow test. Glad we caught it before it let loose. This was the same problem that the port engine had even the same cylinder, the only difference is I have to pay for this repair.
