or is loose. don't run it intil you have the problem fixed. That is how the 46 Sea Ray I purchased sunk.

I am gonna pull the props off next week and start from there. Mike at Inland marine said the set screws in the coupler were tight, that the vibration grinded the shaft loose, my packing is also leaking, or I should say pissing. What happened to the sea ray?

Tom will explain better, when he gets here,, but I believe the shaft bent and some how threw the propeller up through the bottom of the boat. but dont quote me on that.

The packing will always leak. They are made to do that. As far as the Sea Ray the previous owner lost a blade on the prop. Instead of brining it in on one engine. he contiued to run it. It vibrated the shaft bracket loose. Then sent the bracket through the bottom of the boat.

YES! i was thinking of leaving houston around 3 or 4.
That would put me in my driveway around 10 or 11 with fuel stops and picking up a buddy.

Yes that is a pic of the Sea Ray I bought and redid. I do not know where it was taken. I found the pic on the web a few years later after I purchased it.

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...d%20%26%20Bulk

Im right here, if you zoom out you can see proximity to 1-10.
I have plenty of parking 24/7 security etc. If anyone wanted to leave their car there its fine.

If he would have stayed out side the marnia he could have kept everything dry in one of many 2-3ft spots I thinks its only a foot deep just past the boat ramp by the bridge.

Hell no. The risers just went to polish and should ship next week. All of the parts are in for the engine and the block is prepped, they just need to install it all.:(

spk1 04-26-2007 03:32 PM

Ok, its not quite a project Im willing to take on,, but I may have found out what you can do with those extra engines and drive you have jeff.
http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o13260-en.html

sell the out boards to fund your project, the boats been forsale for about a year,so he is probably willing to deal, and then you have a clean bad azz single.
if i had a drive, gimble and engine laying around, I would probably grab it.

spk1 04-26-2007 03:34 PM

Im bored as hell,, I have surveyers, appraisers, engineers, and blah blah all out on the plant and they dont want me to over hear them talking, , so I have to hide out while they do their thing. I have them all on candid camera tho, :D
One just took a leak,,,If only he knew,, he is being fed live and direct through the close circuit camera system. I showed the secretary. heheh
