put some pics up of your rig and there better be a bunch of them....not the token one. Oh and you can do better on the description than that. How about $1m in electronics, teak floors, interior by rolls royce, $50 grand in stainless, stainless exhaust lines, ***** pad on the front, will crush 5 footers, etc. :drink:

Apparently when you deliver a boat from FL it is not only required to NOT have the keys, but also to leave the Perko's on so that the batteries are so dead that the allarm is going off so loud that the marina attendant calls to say the it sounds like "hey is your boat fixing to explode"?? You go to check on it, and yes he is probably right. Might not be any sea ray action this weekend.

Want to rip some balls off right about now........ :bsflag:

Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Warden Ron Vanderroest, left, Montgomery County District Attorney Brett Ligon, Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable Don Chumley and Montgomery County Sheriff Tommy Gage are among the law enforcement officials participating in the BWI “no refusal” task force on Lake Conroe this weekend.

By Brad Meyer
Updated: 05.22.09
LAKE CONROE – A multi-jurisdictional law enforcement effort over Memorial Day weekend aims to prevent injuries, accidents and fatalities due to alcohol abuse on Lake Conroe.

More than a dozen law enforcement boats will be on the lake throughout the weekend looking for safety violations. Those suspected of boating while intoxicated who refuse a field sobriety test will be taken to specially staffed stations for blood and breathalyzer tests where refusal is not an option.

“Lake Conroe has evolved from a friendly community resource to a major recreational destination,” Montgomery County District Attorney Brett Ligon said during a press conference Friday at Papa’s on the Lake. “The increase in boating accidents and deaths is disturbing; and it’s time something was done about it.”

At the recommendation of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Ligon is working with multiple law enforcement agencies on the “no refusal” weekend. Judges will be available to issue search warrants, and nurses will be on hand to draw blood from anyone refusing a sobriety test.

“Our goal is not to increase arrests or diminish anyone’s good times,” Ligon said. “Our objective is focus attention on the need for responsible boating.”

Too often, boaters who drink and drive forget common sense for themselves and their passengers, Ligon said. The danger is not only on the water, but on Texas roadways when boat owners drive home after a day on the water.

“We encourage people to have a good time on the lake,” he said. “But it’s important that it be done responsibly with a designated driver – on land as well as on the water.”

Participating in the first-of-its-kind task force are representatives from the Conroe Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office and the Houston Police Department.

Judges volunteering their time over the weekend to serve search warrants enabling quick breath and blood tests are County Court-at-Law Judge 1 Dennis Watson, County Court-at-Law 5 Judge Keith Mills Stewart, County Court-at-Law 3 Judge Patrice McDonald, 221st state District Court Judge Suzanne Stovall, County Court- at-Law 4 Judge Mary Ann Turner, 359th state District Court Judge Kathleen Hamilton and 418th state District Court Judge Tracy Gilbert.

TPWD Game Warden Ron Vanderroest said the agencies will have 12 boats on the water operating around the clock through midnight Memorial Day.

“We’ll be making random safety checks and on the lookout for situations that suggest a boater might be under the influence,” he said.

In addition to the expanded law enforcement presence on the lake, Ligon said Montgomery County Precinct 1’s boats have been equipped with state-of-the-art digital video camera systems to record subjects during safety inspections and field sobriety tests.

“We are enhancing our evidence-collecting capabilities,” he said. “We intend to prosecute violators, and we now have the tools to make our case. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a video is indisputable.”

You might want to call Milstead since Dave just had your boat towed for parking in the wrong spot.

There was no towing involved. I was told to park wherever I needed to by the security guard in charge.:party-smiley-004:

Greetings from Austin. Having fun with the 42. Lots of numb nuts driving jet skis and 18' boats right in front of me. The smaller the craft the greater the feeling that they own the lake. Creed was supposed to be here but we never saw him. Did he make it?

Presidential decree.

All VHF traffic undergone by the BS thread, club 105 and TMR marine must be conducted on channel 27.

For reference the #2 on your keypad is the letter"B" and the #7 on your keypad is the laetter "S". Thus making this the official "BS" channel.:bsflag:

Thanks, Management.

BWI crackdown looking successful

By Lucretia Cardenas
Updated: 05.25.09
Based on the numbers so far this Memorial Day weekend, Montgomery County’s law enforcers are optimistic that residents are getting the message – if you drink and operate a vehicle or boat, you will be arrested and prosecuted.

As of 5 p.m. Sunday, law enforcement made 28 driving while intoxicated arrests and five boating while intoxicated arrests over the weekend, Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney Warren Diepraam said. Last year, for the entire weekend, 51 people were arrested for DWIs and two for BWIs.

Of the people arrested, only seven refused a breathalyzer test and required a search warrant to draw blood.

“This means we only had a 20 percent refusal rate which is significantly lower than the normal 50 percent,” Diepraam said.

The lowest blood alcohol level recorded from the arrested was 0.087and the highest was 0.19, he said.

Law enforcement is also impressed to see few accidents on the roads and even fewer on Lake Conroe. None of the accidents that occurred Saturday or Sunday resulted in any serious injuries, Diepraam said.

“The police officers working the area say it’s slower than normal,” he said. “Maybe it’s the weather or maybe the message is getting out.”

The Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office is seeing “a lot less traffic” on Lake Conroe, said Lt. Bryan Dubose. He said no boating accidents had occurred so far this weekend, something he couldn’t say this time a year ago.

“A lot of people knew this was coming,” Dubose said. “We had one boater tell us he hired a designated driver. That’s a new one for us.”

While some people don’t like the new enforcement, the majority of the boaters and Lake Conroe area residents are thankful for the protection, Dubose said.

“For every one person who has something bad to say, we have five people saying something good,” Dubose said.

This is the first year a multi-jurisdictional law enforcement effort is cracking down on BWIs. In the past, law enforcement focused on just “no refusals” for DWIs during holiday weekends. The task-force includes the Pct. 1 Constable’s Office, the Conroe Police Department, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Houston Police Department.

Several Montgomery County judges are volunteering their time to serve blood withdrawal search warrants and the District Attorney’s office has prosecutors ready to draw up the warrants

Yep, it was a success. Got pulled over by one on Saturday for no reason other than to check for life jackets... just cruising around about 35 mph enjoying the day. Two other bow riders (one going faster than me), a wakeboard and a pontoon boat in immeadite area and they came straight to me. They never even took it out of gear going by asking to see the jackets. I think once they say two little kids and pregnant wife they knew we weren't the party boat but needed to check something.

jeff1000man 05-26-2009 01:06 PM

I saw them mainly harrasing pontoon boats and ski boats with way to many people. Rode aound all 3 days and never even had them look twice. Had 12 people on board sunday.

Didn't hear of anyone in the club being pulled over and there were quite a few guys up to their usuall shenanigans.

They can't really pull you gusy over if you actually on plane and moving, you can always bump up the sticks a little and act like you never saw them.

wstultz 05-26-2009 02:25 PM

We went for a booze cruise around 7:30 and NO ONE was out. It was like everyone disappered after 7:00. We threw anchor at the island and floated for a few minutes.
