That storm that rolled across the country last week had some of the strongest numbers ever recorded.

It was a monster. We just didn't get that much out of it here. We were to far south.

Most of our guys are working right now. I jsut decided to hang back and finish up what I have and get ready for the trip. I think it is going to be a very rowdy winter. It has that feel to it. :party-smiley-004:

The good news is that wood chucks really do chunck wood, I saved a lot of money on my car insurance by switching to GEICO, and I am planning on trying to take the boat out again tomorrow afternoon after the rain stops in the middle of the day.

Severe weather hit the Montgomery County area this evening with power outages, fires, many lightning strikes and heavy rains. The first area to get hit early in the evening was just east of Lake Conroe where high winds and hail were reported.

Conroe Fire Department responded to the Outlet Mall on League Line Road when the Nike store and adjoining stores reported a fire. Firefighters found no fire but wires and contactors were burned forcing power to be disconnected from the three buildings.

A home in Roman Forest was struck as was one in west county.

River Plantation Fire Department responded to power lines down on Stidham Road and Caney Creek Fire Department responded to a tree on fire after being struck by lightning on Red Leaf Lane near Leafy in the Grangerland area.

A hail alert was issued for the Willis area but there were few reports of it.

Good. We built the hatch blocks last night and repaired the burnt up fiberglass. Gonna smooth that all up and paint the bottom tonight. I was going to paint the scoops blue, but with the weather being the way it is, I am not really wanting to risk that part.

Livorsi screwed up the shipping on my guages, so they won't be here till tomorrow. :angry-smiley-038:

Put in thermostats and crossovers the other night, but one is not opening, and the other is leaking. :lolhit:

Inland has the right part, so I can fix that today, but I ain't driving in the rain today. :party-smiley-004:

Everything is on schedule. I need a new Garmin..........

Have ot order some spares for the trailer and start getting packed up for the trip. Service the truck etc..

Summary. Hopefully burning a tank of gas out of it friday and saturday to make sure everything is tightened up
