glad i wasnt driving the last leg of the trip cause you woulda woke up in coral gables.... always thought that is where Sutphen was... ya ya bradenton not out of way of cape coral. stilll think you should have the trailer run down there thou... setting up bunks and all that rigging would be done.

20 hour drive after work threw the night still tough gig unless you take study aids from college days :) drive is a cake walk until pensacola then its a ghost town, make that chads leg and he can talk to his insomniac old lady on the phone the whole way............ from pensacola its 200 miles of absolutely nothing to tallahassee and then 300 miles of almost nothing to bradenton, if you make it to ocala you are a badass!!! Nevermind, I just looked at how long of a trip that is, I'll pay one of their guys to do it.

Thanks anyway. :coolcowboy:

jeff1000man 09-28-2010 02:05 PM

What I am trippin on is that you buy a nice running boat, and KW is a little over a month away. Why not let it all sit right there and throw Spk1 some gas money and talk sweetly to him and get him to drive it down for race week. Then just get someone to tow it back for you from uship??

You could be the first one in the crew to actually use a boat that was bought in FL, before you brought it back home.

Except me. But I don't really count the ride we took in the Sea Ray as use, but it was.

Just saying. You get to boat for the rest of your life in Conroe, why not use it in FL??

yes because the 30 mph winds and rain associated with a tropical depression could be detrimental to the dust collection these boats have accumulated not taking them to the keys all these years :) :coolcowboy::evilb:

I was going to make a comment about the forcasted winds not being very strong with this one, but I knew you would handle it just fine.:lolhit:

It is expected to dump a lot of rain though, so making sure that the cords are plugged in for the bilge pumps might be in order.:coolcowboy:

Why is that dumb. My boat is covered in any waters anywhere in the U.S. and coastal waters and for any storms or windstorm damage anywhere except named storms in Florida. You have to buy an extra policy for that and it is three times the $$$ if they will even write it. Are you saying that you bought an extra storm coverage for Florida even though your boats are kept in Texas?

No, I said that because it was an over generalized statement, especially when added to the prior overgeneralized statement. Just because YOUR policy is written that way, does not mean that ALL policies are written that way.

If you want me to discuss the specifics of my policies and their individual exclusions and endorsements, then you will first have to tell me which of the 3 policies that you are refering to, becuase none of them are exactly the same.

I do have one policy with a FL named storm exclusion, but it is not limited to FL, I had to pay extra for named storm coverage, but it is good in all the states.

I shouldn't have to go any further. I think my point should be made.

Stop geting your panties in such a big wad Captain know it all.

jeff1000man 09-28-2010 08:01 PM

OH, but the other 2 policies do not have named storm exclusions..

BODY FOUND ON LAKE CONROE
Filed Tue, Sep 28, 2010 by Scott Engle
Local / Area News

This morning just before 11 AM the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a fisherman who said that he just found a dead person floating face down in the lake. The Sheriff’s Office and Pct 1 Constables were dispatched and met with the fisherman near the lighthouse at the end of FM 830.

The body of a white male who is estimated to be between 50 and 60 years old was removed from the water. An immediate cause of death could not be determined.

The identity of the victim has not yet been determined and a search for missing and / or overdue boaters is underway.

Assisted by the Texas Rangers and the Pct. 1 Constable’s Office, the Major Crimes Section of the Sheriff’s Office is following up on all leads to determine the identity of the victim and the circumstances of the death.

Justice of the Peace Lanny Moriarty has ordered an autopsy and the body is being taken to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Major Crimes Unit can be reached at 936-760-5876 for anyone who may have information about this investigation.

Thanks. She's going to need some love when she gets here (new interior and a good cleaning) but hopefully I won't have to mess with any mechanics for a while.
