I have a 500 SEC that has 426,000 miles on the clock. The only major work on the engine is a valve job and one rebuilt transmission.. TOP THAT with any BMW ...

SL65 AMG 604 HP (738 lb-ft) twin-turbocharged V-12

Although I like both, my personal opinion is that BMW doesn't have anything on the AMG Mercedes. BMW does NOT have an answer for the AMG 604HP monster. I have been in one and it is absolutely brutal and neck snapping to say the least.
Here is the monster that NO ONE has an answer for.... (well almost no one)

.... and the Benzes are faster. The torque is amazing!!! It has more than my 6.0 PSD Excursion!

and Rick OSG has a SLR that should wipe out all of the above cars

Inherited my family altimate ski machine 1989 BMW 325IX (all time 4wheel drive). This car was used by three of us teenage boys, none of us treated this car nice! Two of us even took it offroad playing rally driver on more than one occasion. Not once did this car ever break down leaving us stranded. Sold it in 1998 with 480,000 miles on the clock still running, needing timing belt, no trans, no valve jobs.

Best winter beater I've ever owned and ironic for the topic my Dad traded a 1987 190E for it..... I'll admit the most fun I've had taking out kids in Honda's at stop lights was with a '79 6.9. Over that car at the time I preffered my 86 Jaguar VDP (that car had issues)......
