Magic did it have the airirde cab? the ones that we have delivered after my buddy paints them have the airride cab seats and rear suspension. Most of these that I have drove and delivered also have the dodge truckbed like Supermans rig. thse are the 22.5 freighliner directionals on there as well with a LP tire it looks like. What year is that truck? a couple of the ones we have done had the frames filled to help out with the ridse in the back as well.

Get as many air ride options as you can. Our Pete has the air bags, air ride cab and air ride seats. I think that the long wheelbase helps a bit as well. Unloaded it rides like my F-450. Not rough, but certainly firm. When you put the boat or car trailer on the back though it smoothes right out and rides great!

He is currently, this very minute on his way to the Catalina Ski Race pulling his 38 Top Gun with the truck and he called me after only towing the boat 10 miles and said that it was a totally different truck. He told me that the ride was now very comfortable and it feels like a totally different vehicle.
So, I think I am going this route. I'll tow my boat with it next Friday to test, but I am satisfied with what my friend said because we both felt the same way about the ride of the truck unloaded.

FYI- air bags can be added on. I have a customer than builds ambulances- they have a giant stack of brand new leaf springs out back. They've found that it costs them less to buy sprung trucks and convert to air themselves.

I have a peterbilt from the above company, I have been to the sportchassis factory and they make a nice truck but freightliners service leaves alot on the table. Also the sportchassis uses hydralic disc brakes where the pete uses real truck air brakes. Also the sportchassis is rated for 19,000 GVW to get around FET taxes and the pete is rated at 30,000 derated to 26,000 so you don't need a CDL. The pete is made as a real truck and will stay together a long time. The inside of the sportchassis has alot of preformed plastic pieces. The inside of the pete is all OEM pete. Both give you the options of Nav and tracvision and all the other goodies. Last with the pete you can get it with three rows of seats so that you have more inside room for 8 people to sit down. Mine is an 2001 and I was just at the factory and Dennis the owner replaced some items that were broken for free. When I offered to pay him, his response was I built it and you should not have any problems with this truck so don;t worry. Thats on a 6 year old truck. his petes that are sitting there all have the new cummins 8.3 and a 6 speed allison. I drove one and it feels more peppy than my cat. His prices are the same as sportchassis but you are not a number on a computer but a one on one customer. Pete stands behind his chassis for warranty. here are some pictures.

here are some other pictures. They are both good trucks, I am partial to the pete becasue having been in commercial trucks before and still am, the pete dealer network will fix your truck with less hassel. Driving the freightliner is like boating in a bayliner

One last thing, On the pete you can get rear air, sportchassis will not install that. When you are at havasu or vegas that comes in handy. When I am not hauling I use it as my everyday truck taking my family to the mall or anywhere, hell valet park it, its not wider or longer than a crewcab, just taller
