I will pass on the bearing protectors and just use the EZ-Lube hubs.

Here is the response from Buddy bearing rep.

The Bearing BuddyR can be used with the EZ-Lube spindles, however, if
the grease fitting on the spindle you must remove it before installing
the Bearing Buddy. You must also check to see if there is a release
valve at the inner side of the spindle, if there is you need to seal it
with a #10 screw.

Two completely different systems. The only thing they have in common is bearings & grease. EZ lube just makes it easier to repack bearings. New grease in, old grease out. The bearing buddy uses grease to apply positive pressure to your hub, eliminating the vacuum effect when hot hubs hit cold water and the reduced temp (volume) causes a vacuum which draws water into the hub thru the seal.

Gotcha, never paid enough attention to BBs to see that their intention was to provide that small positive psi. But the BB rep's response confirms that you lose the benefit of the EZ Lube design since you have to remove the grease fitting. EZ-Lube + Airtight is the way to go.
