Need new 1/2 ton, which one ?

I just checked Sydwayz's chart and a 2007 2wd 2500 with 3.73 is rated at from 13,000-13250lbs. A 3.92 would +/- 14000lbs. Personally I find that excessive. Not that the motor and trans can't tow it, but the frame and brakes would not be up to those weights on a frequent basis. I really wouldn't go over 11,000lbs on a 3/4 ton truck a lot if I didn't have to...

Ended up getting an 09 Hemi Ram TRX4 with tow package, rated for 9,100 and 14K on the clock. Towed the boat for the first time on Sunday,,,, lets just say i'm in heaven, truck stops better with 7K behind it than my Ford did with nothing behind it. Ford would struggle going up 3 mile mountain on Rt. 84, started at 70 ended up at 50 at the top, the hemi kept it at 70 without even breathing heavy, I guess an extra 100 ft/lbs of torque will do that. Averaged 15mph going to the river and 12 on the way home, which is right around what the ford would do. Not towing it rides like a dream and the interior is incredibly functional, love the flip up rear seats and storage boxes under the floors. now we'll just see how she hold up over the long run. I just couldn't justify buying an older toyota with more mileage and crappy plasticky interior for right around the same money.
Looked into Ziebart and have mixed emotions about it. looking to protect my investment for a long time to come..

I got the crew cab, not the club cab, there is more room in the back than I know what to do with, I almost get lost back there, and it's bigger than what my supercrew had. I treid the club cab, put the drivers seat where I normally would and got in the back, I was practically hugging the drivers seat, only good for kids or very small adults. The crew cab with the seat all the way back there is a ton of room. I can believe how big it is back there. I have pics of the truck, need to get some at the ramp all hooked up.

I got200,000 on my dodge power wagon. I've only had to put a idler pulley, one tune up and a fuel pump on it at 180,000 . Still runs strong . Probably buy a new one soon.I pull bobcats every day and my boat on the weekend no transmission problems yet .
