Something I learned about the auto-off blinkers on the Ford truck. It goes to 5 blinks with a trailer connected.

I asked the dealership if they could reprogram this option to have more blinks before going off and after emailing tech support Ford they said they couldn't. More blinks would make more sense, 5 and 8 would be nice... but I don't work for Ford.

I did not experience this on either EB I towed with towing 2 different trailers.

Does this happen if you dont assign a trailer? because I assigned and named the towable from the info screen.
ie "Lavey".

Brakes were surge but with an electrical reverse lockout.

Interesting, both trailers that I tow have are electric brakes and I have both trailers assigned as well. I wonder if there is something in the circuit? Do you have a flat 4/5 or electric?

Boat has Flat 5 (reverse surge lockout) to round.

Toy hauler has no flat anything just a round connector and has electric over hydraulic.

In my Titan I have a prodigy "digital" controller.

And the 5 blinker to auto off doesn't work with any of the trailers? I cannot imagine this is only on the Super Duty.

Does the truck recognize the trailer connection with the flat 5?

It stayed three blinks on a half push with both trailers.
Never moved to 5 in either truck.

It recognized everything flawlessly.

I've never noticed more than 3 blink signal on mine... Then again I've never only tapped the blinker when hauling the 25 OL.. I'll giver her a try tomorrow if I take the boat out tomorrow!

Maybe it is a F-250/350 option, I know for a fact our 350 does it. Because I had the truck in for a re-flash update and I noticed it right after. I thought Ford made the option more practical, but as soon as I removed the trailer it went back to three.

Maybe you're due for a computer update?
