Buck, congrats on the new truck. i may be going to that route pretty soon as well. does it have the max tow and HD package with the 6.5 bed?

Can you get it 4 door long bed?
I use the full length of my bed a lot, and like Buck use the truck for a truck. Not a daily driver. |

There are a wild set of variables to mileage, but its safe to say that this truck gets better mileage than any other comparably equipped half ton available while providing better towing performance than any half ton available today. <- thats a period. You dont get 3:15 rear end mileage with a 3:73 truck, and you dont get window sticker mileage when towing. There is no better half ton truck available- period. Uncle Dave |

Cris I ordered the truck in early August knowing that a regular half ton wasn't going to meet my needs. It does have the Max Tow package. If you will notice it has the towing mirrors like the SuperDuties do. They are both power slide and fold just like their big brother. These are part of the Max Tow package. I did not get the HD payload option. There was something weird going on in their ordering system that wouldn't allow me to add that for some reason. Don't know if it was the FX4 package, the rear end gearing, or what. It is my understand that the HD payload gives you the 7 lug wheels. If this is the case I'm glad they wouldn't let me add it. Don't think I would care for that. Towing was my main focus anyway. Sunroof and HD payload are the only options available for this truck that I don't have to my knowledge. Not crazy about the tires that came with it at all. I foresee them being replace with something a little more suitable for my needs in the very near future. Buck |

Buck Keep a close eye on those tires!! It took a couple trips to the tire store but I ended up getting full MSRP credit for my Scorpion ATR's and applied that to a set of Michelin LTX A/T 2 in 275/60/20 (vs stock 275/55/20). MUCH better ride!! Tire part of my truck with pics starts on page 3: http://forums.boatfreaks.org/showthread.php?t=19097 |

I'll likely run them through this winter and change them sometime next spring. Won't be towing much until then anyway. Keep me updated on any other issues you come across with the truck. So far I've logged about 50 miles on this thing in three days and it seems fairly trouble free. :ernaehrung004: All joking aside, I think I'm REALLY gonna like this truck. Buck |

But in the end when you can tow 11k lbs get 15-16 around town and close to 20 or over 20 on the HWY I dont think you can beat the OVERALL package right now. |

Took delivery of her yesterday afternoon. Need to put some miles on it before I found out if this thing is going to meet my towing needs like everyone seems to think it will.
So far it's a great truck to drive. LOTS of options. More than I would have thought a truck could ever have. http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/a...3/IMG_8163.jpg http://i986.photobucket.com/albums/a...3/IMG_8166.jpg If your towing that boat in the pic youll have no problem. |
