I hope Ford does not have issues with the new 6.7. They really took a hit with the 6.0's and 6.4's. These engines seem to be cursed randomly.... some no issues, others are a disaster.
My real issue is that ANY major engine work requires the cab to be removed. If you open up the hood on one of the new PSD's you literally cannot see the engine, there are a maze of hoses, lines, tubes, etc.
The Dodge and GM you can at least reach the engines.

Cat, you really do know how to stir the pot, don't you.
Do you really believe this
you post???
The Service Mgrs at 3 dealeships we deal with all say the same thing. The 6.7 has been very dependable so far. I would trust these gents much more than a hotshot forum.

I wasn't able to find the thread, but on another forum there was a post from a ford mechanic detailing his first major engine job on a 6.7 which required lifting the cab. Said it was an oil field service truck with 80K+ miles on it of hard use. When someone asked how many problems he's seen with them, he said relatively few, and typically only on the big F550 models with oversize heavy duty utility bed setups.

My buddy just bought a 11.5 Cummins HO. He has 1200 miles on her. Very Nice..he got the Long Horn eddition or something like that. Motor seems willing, very torquey but at the upper rpms is not the same as our 11 GMC or Fords. Way improved interior, much better than our GMC and close to the Ford. She has more room in the back seat combo but I dislike that cut out in the center rear seat. There will be always give and take, but I still feel for pulling a heavier load safely, Fords suspension, sway control and braking power with tow haul activated is the best, even though its exhaust brake is the worst of the 3...Thats where Ford need one improvement. Sorry for rambling on guys. Jeff
