I definitely will update the thread when I get my boat out of the shop. It's in a damn hilly part of Austin so I'll know pretty darn quick how she does! Might be a couple months though.

Mirrors should fold on the max tow, you might not have the powered option, but they should mannually, and they also manually pull out so they stick out further. At least thats how it is on my 11 XLT max tow. Most mirrors these days are break away(fold away)

Congrats Capt!! Just a weekend sooner and we could have tested on the Formula. Even though it is shorter in length and short a few pounds, would have been a nice trial run.

Even better for the 2013s. The mirrors on the Max Tow package are now power fold and power sliding. Just like the F250s. This is the main reason I held out for the 13 and did a special order.

A big reason for the high prices is simple...demand. India and China are sucking it down like crazy.

Well it's settled: Bought a 13 XLT Super Screw with the Max Tow. Looks great. Somehow found everything I wanted. Mirrors are awesome, despite the fact they don't fold, I'm surprised dealers don't stock these.

Congrats!!!! I think you will be very happy. I'm in the middle of getting a new one myself and decided on the 5.0. To me it is just not worth the extra dough for the ECO. Both engines are great!! I'm pissed I can't get ambient light though in a Lariat. On my 10 I went and bought the whole damn platinum center console and the Ford accessory ambient light and had it put in here at the dealership.

It appears you are right! They were just a bit hard to fold being new.

Unfortunately they are not power though unless I'm missing something. Maybe only the higher end trim models get the power on the Max Tows.

Interesting. My truck is a loaded FX4 and mine our power fold and power slide. I was thinking they were all power regardless of package. Maybe I'm wrong.

I wish you were right more than wrong but I'm pretty sure mine are manual.

Here's the pics of the new ride:

power mirrors were part of a convience package or something as I recall, getting the mirrors does not automatically mean they are powered.

soldier4402 09-10-2013 07:14 AM

Ill be honest with you, I thought about getting powered mirrors but it was in a bundled package and wasnt spending more money, for as many time as I need to fold them in and out, it doesnt really matter
