Bill, If you don't have time I can come down and run it for you. :D

Sorry missed your calls. I'm actually busy for once!:hitfan:

Boat looks great. I finally got to take mine out for the first time. Took some time to get used to it, but it handles great. The boat doesn't take a lot of trim and its pretty easy to drive. Had a good 15mph wind with whitecaps and the boat just ate it up.

R Addiction 04-23-2008 09:55 AM

uh...Remember Andy....it's an Apache:grinser010::D:boat:

WMF 04-23-2008 10:55 AM

Thats great Andy, did you get any pics? any GPS #'s

TexomaPowerboater 04-23-2008 12:40 PM

I never did open it up............first day out, with my first twin engine boat so I'm just taking it slow for now. Got up to about 60 at 4000rpm........... I'm kind of flying blind. I have no drive trim indicators or Trim tab indicators.........even better my drive trim is not synchronized......so to say I had to "feel" the boat might be an understatement. I meant to have all that fixed, but I ended up blowing my boat budget on a pretty thorough inspection and some small odds and ends. I sure wish I had your budget Apache Bill. I'll try and post some pics tonight.

WMF 04-23-2008 01:44 PM

That is scary to run with out trim indicators and drive indicators!!!, That would make me nervous. I wish I would have just bought a complete boat , that needed nothing, instead of blowing my money all the time, but I have a rare boat that should last, and I wont see another like it at the dock. Please post some pics tonight, that would be great:cool-smiley-011:

It was a little scary at first, but it definitely makes you "listen" and "feel" the boat out, all in all it was probobly a good learning tool.

Some pics - these were taken after we drove for about 3 hours straight.........so we were pretty tired. Before I get hazed - that was my first beer all day, and yes I know I look like a fat, hairy, pasty slob.............but its the lake so cut me some slack. Girl in green is my twin sister the other my fiance. Pics were taken on saturday when it was calm. Should have taken some on Sunday in the rough. Doc pic shows the lakehouse on the right.

Much thanks to By U Boy and marineclean - had some great tips to bring this 18 year old interior back to life. Used lysol bathtub cleaner and magic erasers. You can see the difference on the back hatch - we haven't finish the whole boat.

Bill,

I know we had talked about some stuff for the winter for you.. So I thought I would put these up while you are still on a spending spree.. lol.. I know Denny owed you some stuff, so Im just bustin your ballz.. :D

If you are still thinking of some new power for the winter we could set you up with a pair of these, or something like it :D.. We can even match the color to your boat.. Blown or non.. This one is a 496 that we did 539 hp / 549 tq on the dyno.. We were shooting for only 500hp.. :D

All of my custom stuff like that is built to order for each application.. That red one is going into a 20' Bahner jet boat.. The Merc & volvo stuff I can usually get within a few days.. Most of our custom engine stuff currently is about 1-2 months or so to do right now.. :) Jamie / Lakeside Restorations

Thanks for the compliments, here are some pics of the boat back home in the driveway!!!!!:D

cosmic12 04-27-2008 07:25 PM

Boat looks great!!! Must be nice to have it home.. Like said above---- get rid of the poles. Unless the trailer floats , then you will need them. I had a S.F. alum trailer and the dam thing would float so I had to have them on there to get the boat on it:(

I am afriad Im going to have to replace the motors, or aleast strip them down to the blocks, I am at a loss right now, I have no Idea what to do, Summer is hear, boat does not run and I am losing time. I want to get another boat, and sell this one, but I have alot tied into this boat, This sucks:(

TexomaPowerboater 05-06-2008 08:38 AM

I'm sorry to hear that Bill. I was really looking forward to you finishing the boat out. I thought the boat ran when you bought it?

WMF 05-06-2008 10:08 AM

The boat will be finished for this summer, but it will cost me more money than I thought, but i have something in the works for motors right now. Both motors ran when I got the boat, but I dont trust the left motor, so I am just going to replace both
