I hear it is. I've been in contact with baywatch

Nykamp 02-01-2014 07:16 PM

Good pictures Jay!

Sick Stinger 02-14-2014 10:07 AM

Does any one have hatch pics or know clearance. Wondering how much room I have and will need once I put the motors in the boat.

Unlimited jd 02-14-2014 10:31 AM

Flat recessed hatch. Text you a pic

smokin' gun 02-14-2014 12:41 PM

Gonna be close but it might fit with the hats on the inside like my cig had

Sick Stinger 02-14-2014 01:05 PM

Gordon I'd like to put IC's under the blowers also .

kidapache 02-14-2014 09:22 PM

They will be tall

Sick Stinger 02-15-2014 03:39 PM

Going to grab some scoops. So when I get IC's I can bolt on and go. Thinking going meth also. Friend of mine can build them off boost ref. Also if any one knows where to get decals for a window/tail gate please let me know.

Unlimited jd 02-15-2014 03:43 PM

Little overkill chillers and meth unless your putting a 3" pulley up top. Meth only helps when the tank is full. I don't like the idea of it in a pleasure boat

Sick Stinger 02-15-2014 05:26 PM

Per scots idea

I'CE 02-15-2014 09:21 PM

I.C.'s Mike that is a must do NEED em they make engines live, what drives you have or doin?

apache17 02-15-2014 09:34 PM

I may have two super chiller intercooler for sale ..Pm me a contect number and get you more infor on them..

OLD MAN 02-16-2014 11:05 AM

Mike, Are some chillers taller than others or are they all about the same height? Don't know how critical the height to the hatches will be.

apache17 02-16-2014 12:22 PM

To the best of my knowledge you are right, they don't make different size intercoolers heights, they are much the same...But you do need to check the hatch height when closed..

sonic700 02-16-2014 12:36 PM

Look At The Whipples. I Believe They Only Add An 1 1/2. Where The Superchillers Add 4 Inches. They Also Make Low Profile intakes

Unlimited jd 02-16-2014 12:51 PM

Whipples are shortest, then blower shop, then lee/super chillers.

apache17 02-16-2014 01:05 PM

You can't use a whipple supercharger intercooler on a 8/71-14/71, So, If you change your whole supercharger set up, then you can change your height some what..

OLD MAN 02-16-2014 01:38 PM

So you could save 5 to 6 inches overall depending on the setup....interesting. I'm sure dollars and cents comes into play here!

Is that the infamous shooters and Bootleggers bikini contest?

apache17 02-16-2014 03:29 PM

Wow, That's a very nice intercooler... I stand corrected .. Did they just come out with this one ??

SkaterMike82 02-16-2014 03:40 PM

That's the OLD Shooters...the good ole days

sonic700 02-16-2014 04:22 PM

Not Sure Exactly When They Came Out but IThink They Have Been Out For Some Time

Ike 02-16-2014 06:03 PM

I have had my low profile whipple's under my 871 and 1071's since I bought my apache 8 years ago.

Apache shot me pics and info 7746447882

Sick Stinger 02-19-2014 12:45 PM

Any thoughts on a carbon hatch? Thinking about going this route

SS930 02-20-2014 01:14 PM

I'd be shocked if you could fit IC's and a spark arrester under that flat hatch.

Sick Stinger 02-20-2014 01:53 PM

Nope can't happen need a hole

Panther 02-25-2014 01:19 PM

Nope, no coolers. That's with a race intake manifold, 8:71's, holley's and flame arrestors.

It's possible it could be made to fit with whipple low profile coolers and a shorter flame arrestor than I have. I also have about a 1/4" I could cut down on the carb/arrestor spacers. I think the Whippes need 2 more inches than stock?

Hessdk 02-25-2014 02:14 PM

Sick Stinger, keep in mind that your motors may be mounted higher due to your twin step vs.Panther's conventional bottom. The 575 SCi's in my '01 single step still have some clearance with the hatch closed.

Sick Stinger 02-26-2014 11:20 AM

Hess any pics of your boat? So you have the staggered 575? Yellow interior I believed

Panther 02-26-2014 08:32 PM

That's true, I don't know where they put the X on the step bottoms. However, raised mine several years ago and my propshaft is now 5 1/2" below the bottom.

Hessdk 02-27-2014 10:09 AM

Sick Stinger, no, I have side by side 575 SCi's.

Sick Stinger 02-27-2014 02:34 PM

Factory 575? I thought only the stag was 575. Any pics? Thanks for your time appreciate it

Sick Stinger 02-27-2014 02:54 PM

Panther thankyiuvalso for you time and posts good stuff

Hessdk 02-28-2014 11:30 AM

Sick Stinger, there are (2) 36's with Mercury Racing 575 SCi's. I am not able to post attachments. PM me your email and I will send you some pics.
