Just a quick eye balling as a Mach up think I'm just going to vinyl it.. Another pic of the steps down so you can see thn a bit more clearly. An a bonus pic
Took the door out now need to figure out a plan for that. Mach'd up all the interior panels all resin up and test for. Material ordered and vinyl caps ordered. Just ordered more lights robreplacevtgevfactory cabin also. Put 2 of the 10 cockpit lighted in. Removed old cabin speakers and more dead wires from the boat.
Hope to mount VHF tomorrow run 3 antennas get all the rest of the lights amps and speakers pre wired and pull the flooring up. Flooring will be on order tomorrow. Foot rest will be flooring material instead of carpet easier to clean and blends better. Looking for a motor drop in by end of week |
I built some really simple foot rests for mine a few years ago. It helped a lot.
These are pretty simple I'll get a pic of before and after of them. Just finished the rear seat lights and subs. Amp all mounted and wired in. Pulled the door out going to full powder coat a sheet of 16 stainless see how that goes. Rest of the fuel line hardware came in so I will be doing that. Ordered the indicator cables today along with the GPS antenna. Going to plumb the east of the boost gauges wire the lites to them and finish up the wiring mess to clean it all up. VHF will be mounted to day. I alrwady mounted the antenna and the am/fm antenna. Need water feed hoses in the gimbals before motors go in so waiting on that. Do shooting for next week on the motor drop in. Mounted the sea pumps lube bottles and brackets also fuel gauge senders and finished the oil hoses on the port motor. Used lokar dip sticks I put the other on in last night seems to do the trick.
I wish you well on the trim indicator adventure! I installed 2 new cables this weekend and one like 5 years ago using chase strings when pulling the old one's out and it's still a f&cking b!tch!
A bit easier with no motors in the boat. I will find out tomorrow when the cable shows up. Also going to do the water inlet hoses on gimbals I have one and just ordered the other. Once that is don't a motor goes in.
Most tedious job I've ever done was adding lights to the f2 boat, but using existing switches and making it look like it was there on day 1. Whoever wired those boats is an artist, and I wanted to kill him and his 7,000 zip ties lol
Yup I've already redone 150 I know this due to 3 packs if 50 wire ties down the tube so far and counting. But looks nice clean tight and done with pride
Very little done tonight, water intake hoses are done, drilled and tapped a broken trailer jack bolt, boost gauge port side hooked up. Removed the last remaing harness of extra wires. Trim cables will be in tomorrow, also I had a new stainless door cut out of 18 gauge instead of the 22 paper thin crap used befor. New door handle will be in on thrus day. Need to clean the bilge once again and drop port motor in.
Not sure why but the cables faught me this time around. It became a push pull job with two people. I think they were getting hung up on the battery cable in the tube. Thought I was going to break my 1/2" shrink wrap banding used as a chase.
Quick question how does your door lock to the cabin?
Mine doesn't have a lock.
Answered that question.
no locks, no keys! lol
That's was my thought

Fuel pump relay kits are in. Did indicator cables. Water inlet tube in stb side in. Did the cannon plug and checked all wires to motor fuel pump block off on inlet hose of gimble to motor overflow drive lube all set
Finished the fuel pump relay set ups, VHF mounted and wired, used 1 if the 3 acc switches on the dash to run the radio. Traced ignition wired and fixed thoses as it was running round and round. Antenna all neat and tucked also fixed a few other loose ends on the wiring side and ran another new row of wire ties. Had to put 1 oil hose fitting on and tighten all the hoses. Ordered the scoops so I will be cutting the hatch sometime in the near future. Repaired fuel pressure wires a bit chewed up. Water pressure gauge hooked up also. That's about it for now.
Oil plug done on port motor that wraps that up. Did the cap rotor and water pressure set up on stb motor checked and squared up the wiring on the stb also. Hooked up the radio bracket. Short night waiting on parts.
both motors in ?? if so how bout some pics
Some point next week. I'll be up before then anyway
Blower on and boost ref hooked up. Fuel line to reg ran. Mocked up the scooped cut the hole am trimmed so far.
One engine complete. Kicked it over yesterday to check wiring ect. Cut other hole in the hatch for air cleaners. Put a drive on wing plate steering ram. Will fire sat to mare sure it's 100% then drop in the other motor. Still need to put flooring in, interior, other sub, more lights. Finish the amp wiring and odds and end. So not really close but getting there

I'm curious, can you do me a huge favor?
Can you please measure the distance from the bottom and center of the transom assembly to the bottom of the boat for me? If there's a mercathode, you'd have to measure just behind it, from the bottom of the transom assembly to the bottom of the boat. I'm curious what your X dimension is with the step compared to mine without a step. |
Yup not a problem. I'll get them after work for you

Just about there other motor wired and fired have so e interior waiting in the east move fuel gauge to accommodate radio remote screen. Just about there now
When will you be able to launch her Mike?
Both motor in and run. Waiting on interior flooring scoops and hatch.
Flooring and amp capacitor just came in. Still waiting on air scoops and side panels for interior
Drilled the new door for the handle and stop. Dropping off for powder coat tomorrow and grab handles. Drive gaurd on trailer at pivot was froze solid so I split it cleaned stud and pivot hold. Stitch welded the slots back up and the cracked welds are all repairs. Also where the pin went I the end of the trailer was tweaked in. Nothing a ratchet strap and a 2" think beam can't fix. Capacitor is all in and wired. Floor stripped ready to be pulled and used as template. Had 60 gal. Of bad fuel pumped it out and fresh 93 in. I know where empty is on my gauge now. Still have odds and ends but dwindling down.
Tore up the floor going to clean it up and prep for the new lonseal and foot rests. Going to box the subs for better sound and hopefully cut the reverberation that seems to happen. Should be 99% there by saterday. Still waiting in scoops from unlimited product air scoops, pro stock are the one I ordered. Not to happy with them said 2 1/2 weeks turn around been about 4 1/2 weeks as of today.
I'll keep this updated. |
Man, moving right along! Very impressive the ground your covering!
Thanks J doing the best I can and moving as quickly as parts and time allows while trying to do it correct. It's my father and I and he can only do as much as his body will allow of course so I do the rest. Hopefully more parts show up today.
Your camera broke?
Yup I took a pic of you
Floor is all prepped and ready for adhesive and flooring. I'll will template the new floor on Sunday morning and clean the boat floor 1 more time before laying it down. Interior came back today. So that's should be going in ASAP after the floor is down. Just ordered some much room cleats and lines as there seems to be no where to put the fenders on the boat. We shall rectify that issue ASAP. Door and handles go to powder coat she least come in so all are the same color. Splash is very soon...
