I bet I put over 1000 miles on my truck for this project, that I never included in the price? Oh well, one poker run and we are even.

1000 miles

No wonder it took 14 weeks you were riding around instead of working!:evilb:

As for the poker run I'm looking forward to it!

Man is it COLD!

It was 13 degrees here this morning and will be down into single digits tomorrow morning.

But my engine compartment is a toasty 46 degrees and Lisa and Kate are resting well.

I don't know about you but I am VERY thankful that Al Gore got this whole global warming thing under control. I would much rather freeze to death that to burn to death.

sonic69 01-16-2009 02:22 PM

Left for work this morning and it was -19 out. I've never seen so many semis on the side of the highway from jelling up or their air dryers failing. Hopefully it will be warmer at the Cincy boat show tomorrow.

dave krehbiel 01-16-2009 05:03 PM

I can't believe Jay Teeee hasn't chimed in yet. Thats warm, it was 17 below 0 yesterday and today here.

My ladies are looking fine in their best evening wear

Kate and Lisa are enjoying the cool North Carolina air

Their Whipples are polished and their nipples are fine

It’s cooler here than their home state but they are now mine

Mark had his hands all over my ladies and he may have broke a sweat

But my hands are on the throttles and I’m the one that gets them wet!

Going today...it's 10am and it's warmed up from 40 to 64....high around 72 this afternoon........Lake Conroe here we come.......:ernaehrung004:

NOW HIGH LOW
63° 72° 43°

I guess I'll keep it to myself that it is 73 and I'm heading out on the boat.

:party-smiley-004:

Hopefully the brutal freeze up there will end. It looks nasty. Actually, if we had some real cold weather it would give me time to finally do some non-mechanical work on the boat (i.e. wax it).

Put me on an airplane and I'll come down with a buffer and make that thing look new. Only thing I seem to get done lately is clearing snow out of the driveways and the car lot.

That can be arranged!

I can see it now. Your picture plastered all over the evening news after being arrested for bringing a buffer on a plane!:evilb:

Okay Plan "B"!

Bring your snow shovel. We got our first snow of the year and it is DEEP. Yeah a whole 2 inches at my house. Barely made it to work!

I need immediate help to clear this up because I'm Road Captain on a Harley ride this Sunday leading 20+ bikes to Charlotte to the 2009 EasyRider Bike Tour. Come on 50 degree temps we need ya now!

sonic69 01-20-2009 04:40 PM

Back in my day we rode in 5 feet of snow up hill both ways when you couldn't see an inch in front of you. Quotes from my late grandpa. Next was " You youngsters are a bunch of pussies"

I will tell you what my favorite photo is. The one where you are looking at your cards with the gun in your hand. We may have to have a caption contest for that photo..........soooo much potential!:drink: Looks like you are going to shoot someone if you dont get some better cards!

Can anyone tell me what gun I'm holding?

You are so right.

I look forward to you taking some and we also purchased our first digital video recorder last month and I'm getting the hang of using it.

My question is how do you post the video online? Do you have to use a source like You-Tube?

Like the legend and real "Doc Holliday" I also carry a backup gun.

No one noticed it?

Is that a BB Gun tucked in your belt?

Dave,

Did you say you still have the pattern for the bracket on the power steering reservoir?

I spoke to Latham and sent them a picture and they recommended that I raise it up to a point where the top of the bend in the hose off the pump is not higher than the lowest point of the reservoir and they believe that will solve the problem. According to what I described to them there is still air in the system and they don’t think it will purge out they way it is currently.

I think 1-1/2 inch up would work put we would be safer at 2 inches.

Let me know if you can easily make a new one, if not I will have one of my local shops do it.

Thank you

Doc

Actually that is one of the wife's guns a Colt Mustang 380 stainless with pearl handles. That was her first pistol but she switched to a Lady Smith revolver in a 38 cal as her carry gun of choice.

Here is a list of her personal guns:

Lady Smith revolver 38
Colt Mustang 380
Ruger Mark II 22 cal (standard barrell)
Walther PPK 380 (her James Bond Pistol)
Browning Gold 20 Ga over and under
Ruger 10/22 Rifle Stainless

Plus her trusty air powered pellet pistol that she runs dogs off with that show up in the yard. You don't want to mess with her when she has that pistol out!

Dock Holiday 02-06-2009 12:29 PM

Well it is currently 47 degrees here and VERY sunny with a wonderful 60+ degree forecast for tomorrow and 65 for Sunday.

What to do?

I rode the bike to work this morning and it was AWESOME. Even though it really warming up right now it was actually 18.7 degrees when I got up this morning and 20.2 degrees when I hit the road for the office. The ride back home will be wonderful this afternoon.

So I know that I will be pulling the boat out of the garage tomorrow and plan to add a couple of ball valves on the fresh water flush side of the strainers and run the engines a while and shoot some video. I will not be able to go to the lake but at least I will hear the engines roar.

I hope some of you folks get a chance to get on the water tomorrow.

My dad might still get out on the water tomorrow. On top of the water that is! Been talking about doing a little ice fishing on Erie. They've been driving cars, trucks, 4 wheelers and snowmobiles to Put In Bay and Kelleys Island! I have heard it looks like a small city out there of ice shantys. I wanted to take the 4 wheelers over to the islands, but my window of opportunity is closing. We have at least a week of 30s and 40s coming up! High of 47 here in Ohio tomorrow!

I saw where they had to rescue a lot of folks up there and one guy died that fell through the ice.

Dock Holiday 02-10-2009 12:23 PM

I pulled the boat out Saturday and cleaned the shop up which was long over due.

I did get the ball valves installed on the sea strainers for the fresh water flush.

The wife and I hooked up the hose and cranked the motors up and they fired right up immediately. I let each one run at 1500 RPM for about ten minutes and checked everything and all was good. Man they sure sound GREAT.

We had two neighbors to come by and you should have seen their faces when they saw the new motors. It was priceless!

AIR TIME 02-10-2009 08:57 PM
