Welcome to the Banana board fellow flat decker...
We here are all disciples of the ancient ways of power boating.
Our master "McCarthy" is out right now, but feel free to hang out in our Banana DoJo...

Tommy,
That is not a yellow rub rail.
That is no rub rail...
Too bad, I removed my black rub rail and threw it away in a dumpster at work, you could have had it for that yellow thing.

Port lights
When I was looking for my Banana Boat, my plan was to buy one remove the cabin window and glass over it.
Mine was the first one that I had ever seen that didn't have them installed. It was definately an option, since I have now seen others without them. Most after 1989 do not have them.
I agree with your attitude. Not something you would pick, but not something to make you pass on a good running high performance hull.
I would buy the red one on Lake Winnipasauke with twin OMCs. That thing apparently goes 80mph. Think he wanted like 14,500 last year.
No window, No headlights. Red hull with white deck. Gray interior with red stripes. Engines on a bracket. K-planes. Step down cabin (I think). Looked like Kiekenhaefer controls or similar.
Good luck...
