Can you prove that? Is anything documented here? I want to believe you since you've been here a long time and have over 9,000 posts but honestly, Paul comes across as knowing what he is talking about.

The courts are a big part of the problem . The POS who stole my boat , stripped and set it on fire . After being caught he made a plea deal and got home detention . Only wound up going to jail for a short time because of getting another charge while awaiting trial . Jerk is supposed to pay restitution to the insurance company and me , prosecutor said he " dosen't expect me to get any of my money back " . Not much of a deterrent to the crooks in my state . This was on a loss of aprox 100k . After court he would have been home for dinner had he not gotten the another charge against him . WTF

Secondly, please don't judge me by my post count as many of my posts are jokes aimed at friends and some are rude to morons like slonaker. Judge me by the fact that I have supported this industry and have been instrumental in uncovering some people that were out to rip others off. the people that personally know me know I'm honest and can verify it.
As for my relationship with the accused in this stuff, I'm acquaintances with a couple but I consider JC and Curtis my friends... I don't condone people doing bad things, but I have been through enough with them that they have my respect. I have also said very pointedly to them that IF they did the crime then do the time, I would say the same thing to my daughter or anyone that is thinking of breaking the law.
Lastly, I respect that slonaker is friends with Murray, but he needs to stop with saying that someone sitting in jail is innocent, it just isn't so. All I have said on here is to let the legal system work, he is the one coming on here saying so and so was whacked and putting out pure BS speculation as fact. If they are facts he needs to name his source. I talk with Curtis every couple weeks and I will continue to. It's not up to me to tell the DA's office what to do, if they make deals they have a reason to, that's between them and the accused.

The story goes that a certain person that sells Skater boats made mention to another person that has a high performance boat place up in Pottsboro, Texas...right next to lake Texoma, who then made mention to the owner...Dennis Hall that his boat could disappear. The rest of the story goes that Dennis Hall made a statement like..."I dont want to know about it", back to the high performance boat place owner up in Pottsboro and he relayed the message back to the dude that sells the Skater boats. Now...for some strange reason, the boat in question was placed in an extremely convenient spot...away from anyother boats and all locks on the boat and or trailer were removed. Hmmmmmmmm...why was that? Then, all of a sudden, the boat just went POOF, while the dude that sells the Skater boats cut a trail as fast as he could to his buddy at the DA's office to sign a letter of immunity to testify against the guy (Jeff Murray) that he originally contacted to take the boat because he and his Mother have already been to a Federal lockup several years back and I would guess that he didnt want to make a second trip. The high performance boat place dude owner says that he went deer hunting...riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. The boat disappears and all of a sudden, there is a video of the heist being done. Strange tho, about the video. There isnt a camera mounted in the approximate spot that was used to get the video and during the video, the camera was moved alittle to get Jeff more into the center of the pic...how convenient. Could the owner of the high performance boat place not have gone deer hunting, but instead decided to stay and make a movie? That is what I think and a few of the officials also think that, but what I think doesnt count. I know for fact that that is exactly what one Sherman detective thinks. Anyway, the boat goes on a road trip and in less than 24 hours, it was delivered to Angelo Gimaldi at Activator boats where there was a New York engine builder present...and he was there during the dis-manteling.
To sum it all up...the boat was there to sell, but it was so over priced that no one would even ask after being told the price. One of the investigators told me that the owner was upside down in the boat...so the boat had to go away.
Rocks are not selling that good around here.

Most of the guys on here have sold boats and at one point or another may have joked about not being bothered if the boat was stolen or sank, who wouldn't. I'm pretty sure the boat had a big repair bill so Leon got screwed there too.
Truth is that were it not for Leon the boat would have never been found and the real theives never would of been caught. His quick actions on a thanksgiving weekend are the only reason this boat wasn't put into a container and shipped overseas. They had a buyer and everything, but it got too hot after Leon broadcasted the theft on the net. So they quickly striped the boat and sent it to the woodchiper. The rest is history.
Pslonaker just has an axe to grind with Leon because he burned up a brand new motor he built for him the first time out. Powerboat Magazine interviewed Pslonaker for his theory and they are a disgrace for publishing it. They didn't care what Leon had to say. They just wanted to post hearsay and publish it in time for the Miami Boat show in a desperate attempt to sell magazines.

As for burning up a motor from Leon...that didnt happen either. I suggest that you contact Matt Bedoe...or anyone else contact him. I have alot of respect for Matt and I think highly of him and he knows the TRUE story and Matt wont lie for you, me or Leon..but you really dont need anyone to lie for you...you always take care of that for yourself...as does Leon.
