Well I cut the skin from the in side of the deck to day and peeled the water logged foam and got the nomex core bonded to the deck so it can cure for the next 24 to 36 hours... I also bonded the 20 pound density foam to the transom and got it covered with two layers of kevlar and clamped the second foam core to the transom for its curing... I still have to nomex the fire wall / seat all the foam was stripped today so I can bond the core tomarrow.... monday i will be able to repair the stringers and kevlar the transom inside and out I am also going to kevlar the whole engine room and stringers past where the cockpit floor tabs in......... I may add an angled bulk head behind the seat but the kevlar will make her much stronger then a factory boat.
I'd like to mod the fire wall/seat to also be an engine hatch... so I do not want to add a bulk head... I was thinking a stainless angle iron system the can swing out like the swing out door kit on my drag car....... may build the angle in to the seat and cap to make the latch... one or two 1 1/4 x 1/4 thick angle's will be as strong as the week rear seat and as heavy as the bulk heads,,, still thinking about it,,,, also may remove the storage in the engine room or make it so they can be removed, bolted or clipped in and out... I'll post some photos

well.. I got the stringer's removed and the new stringers cut and ready to epoxy in tomarrow. also got the transom ready for it's last lay up inside and out, I cut the whole engine compartment with 40 to get it ready to kevlar. I also put down the the kevlar on the inside of the deck today... with nomex you must get 100% surface bond or you have nothing at all... I went back to the yard tonight after dinner and pulled the vac bag to check the bond so I can sleep tonight and am feeling good about the way the inner deck turned out.. may run one or two more layers have to see tomarrow...
when I first pulled the cap the fore deck seemed like it could not support its own weight if it was not held in position by the boat.... truth fully I thought the cap may come apart before the crane put it down.
