Nice!!

caseyh 12-06-2014 03:21 PM

Note to anyone redoing a boat or anything at all. DO NOT paint over all the nuts bolts and screws! It's a real pain in the a$$ to get a part and take time. Also makes it easer for the heads to strip from the paint in the threads! Rant over. Y'all have a nice day!

carter38 12-08-2014 08:20 AM

Thought, you could cut out where the compass goes and mount an ipad mini.

Cool thought but don't get service everywhere. So garmin it is.

Finely had the chance to go check out the boat and wow. It looked great and all the small stuff that no one will ever see has realy came together. There has been lots of glass work to make it dran right from the bow to the transom in the hull and cockpit. The 3 pices that all came together at the cabin entry and made some sorta mess that flexed and moved every witch way has all been bonded together. Can't be more happy with the way lighting jack customs as fixed and thought outside the box with the issues the boat had. We are back on track for the first time in a year from all the problems we ran into from paper work witch put the boat on hold for a long time to problems that were uncovered on one would have ever known unless you dug in place rarely dug around in.

jmeng 12-11-2014 10:25 AM

So time to start putting it back together? Whats the latest on the engines?

caseyh 12-31-2014 11:38 PM

John got these in. All new wiring has been bought also. http://i902.photobucket.com/albums/a...psekehklhb.jpg

Very nice work, thanks for posting the rebuild I have really enjoyed watching it come together. Is the boat getting new paint? Post pics of before and after if so. Thanks again.

caseyh 01-01-2015 12:13 PM

Thanks it's a 100% rebuild trying to show everything. Their is not one part that hasn't been gone over. The boat was painted a year or so before I bought it. Going to keep it like that for now it's actually painted very nicely. Have a plan to do something if it gets finished for the first weekend in May.

ohh wow 01-01-2015 06:12 PM

Powerquest_Baby!! 01-03-2015 09:54 PM

So you bought a boat and immediately started taking it apart because it needed gimbles? Now its 30 months later and its still not done? Your even redoing the cabin? You have ALOT more patience than I have. Its one thing to be down one winter but we are talking summer of 2012, 2013 and summer of 2014. No way....couldnt do it. When I lived in Seattle I could barely make it thru one winter and the thought of summer was the only thing that kept me sane.
Good luck with getting this thing done. Im sure its going to be a masterpiece.

caseyh 01-03-2015 10:59 PM

Have 3 other boats so a boat ride is not a issue. Plus know everyone that's a regular in the area on the water and always pay gas, help tie up and clean the boat so rides are no issue. Yes well the full story will be told at the end ;). It truely started as a gemble issue then moved to drive, and trans rebuild. Then to a 100% rewire to now 2015 spec, to cut tanks to glass and reinforcing stuff. To gutted cabin. Then paper work issues.so the boat sat untouched for a long time. Had to make more money. New motors and coating tank etc. It's been a pain in the ass I wish I never had but have come to love. The more i work to pay for the redo makes it special. The boat will be all new except for the hull. Fixed lots of issues with the boat and no other bullet will be near it. May not be as flashy and blinged out but will be a tank and right. I lost patients about 2012 lol.

Thank mike for the extra help getting the tanks in.http://i902.photobucket.com/albums/a...pspzxjytnj.jpg

You going to foam those tanks in?

Yes doing that today. The strips on the hull are solid tubes to hold the tank off the bottom so the foam can go under it and seal it.

LAriverratt 01-06-2015 08:27 AM

sure hope to see it out on the water this spring Casey! is it still at lighting jacks? how's the progress on those power plants coming?

caseyh 01-06-2015 12:39 PM

Last news on them was the bottom ends were built.

caseyh 01-08-2015 04:20 PM

Looks great Caseyh keep up the good work, frick where do I sign up for BOA I'm right there with you ...:D...But I will be on the water this year, but I also know when you do a rebuild like this, just getting on the water is not the end of it, especially when you make a lot of changes such as drives, motors and that equals a lot of set up time until the day comes you just get in and go boating ....

caseyh 01-20-2015 12:37 PM

Thought the glassing was over. Top hole was the motor flush and gas fill under it. For some reason that sounds like it could be a issue.

Have a pile if stuff rigging going to powder coat, all steel parts and all the alum pats are headed to get hard anodized. Not leaving anything raw metal in the boat.

Anyone have any pros to cons on the aluminum part powder coat over anodized. I like the hard anodized better personally over powder coat and normal anodizing.

Check out color chrome powdercoating, it gives an anodized look at a fraction of the price. Basically all it is is candy powdercoat.
