It's really too bad this young man didn't approach this whole boat thingy a bit differently.
So much experience and willingness to share the collective knowledge here. A wee bit of humility and respect would have served him well.

Instead, we got turned off by youthful bravado and arrogance.

As for not posting personal projects for fear of having ones stuff picked apart, well, that certainly has not been my experience here. I consider myself very detail oriented and reasonably capable of most mechanical and paint and body work but, I know that I don't know jack compared to the majority of the membership here. I ask questions and value the responses given by the membership.

Again, it's really a shame that this young man doesn't recognize what a great bunch of guys and invaluable resource he's alienated with his attitude.

DuraDik thats too funny fits him well.

Look back through some of his other threads and comments he posted long before the original thread on this boat where he snakes it from fullwhack

Dragging his old posts up and reading through them the Kid has not a clue about most mechanicals on these boats and from the sound of it probably had never turned a wrench on anything but a Sears riding tractor to put a spark plug in it and a set of new blades.

You know you want to like the Kid because he is young and dumb but he is and has been such an azz to members that have been on this site along time and very helpful to anyone thats asks for help.

I agree. This is probably the only thread I know of, where other oso members have negatively criticized the project. There are so many talented guys on oso, who do some amazing stuff.

heck, check out Rbesola's thread on what he just did to his Myco trailer here in the Cig section. Rbesola isnt that much older than Phil. He's in his early 20's. Works his azz off. He bought an older top gun with 500's and TRS drives. Since he bought it, he has re-rigged the boat with SSM 4 drives, extension boxes, removed the engines, rebuild, added superchargers and some other goodies, custom hatch, lots of cool stuff. He took the boat to another level, running great speed numbers, and did it without the $hitty I know it all attitude.

I see no reason to defend Phil. Not only has he been a cocky little azzhole on oso, telling people how great he is, blah blah blah, is one thing. But doing stupid $hit, like towing other peoples boats without the right insurance, towing big boats with aluminum draw bars, no safety chains, no working lights, sub par lifted trucks, his illegal business operations, oh, and his latest from twitter, getting wasted drunk and driving around town and going offroading. Constant run in's with the police, getting 300 dollars worth of tickets by state troopers on his boat trailer for improper tags, lack of safety chains, inoperable lights, arrested for throwing $hit at passing by vehicles at 11:45pm including a police car, etc, Yea, great kid. Lets encourage his stupidity even further by defending him in this public forum.

That's a hell of a summary, I in no way feel bad at all for bashing on Phil, he will get whats coming eventually...

BTW, the Café has 496's I thought according to the other thread... ?? no mention of that these days...
