No offense IC but this is not above average but opinion of course. This I do not believe is comparable to your boat due to hardware size ect ect. At its most basic state, he had the floor up and out was a new fuel hose installed. This is to accredit or discredit the quality of what is being presented and brought to the table.

So much wrong with the boat I'm not sure where the prospective buyer would start.
Not only will this guy not make any money, he's going to lose money on it.

Im not a phil hater or a phil cheerleader... My posts have pretty much been practical advice to help him succeed. That said, if I am going to pay 30k for an old boat, I want everything to at least work. .

Sick Stinger 10-03-2014 08:28 PM

^ yes sir, this has nothin to do with love hate it has to do with quality and workmanship that's being projected but not produced. If this is the craftsmanship that is the standard then the bar that's set is not that of a business that would be proficient in the high performance industry.

Pretty soon you will see post on here "DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM 315******" I think that is where the bashers are headed with this whole thread. The kid is out to rob someone and has shady business practices. Or he is super excited and needs to go to work for a real performance boat builder/restoration specialist to see what quality looks like.

Sick Stinger 10-03-2014 08:54 PM

Mark kids get credit for drive and ambition. Thats as far as it goes talent is more then laying paint and making it look good but good over all product is conveying talent caring pride and good practices and morals across the board and through out.

Mike I agree! Kid will probably be a decent boat painter in 3-5 years. He just needs to tone down the imaginary fluff in his adds!

I never once said this boat was anything. And I would never take your word for it FF or anybody else. If the boat is a complete hack job it won't sell, pure and simple, and he will still learn a valuable lesson from that.

I stand by my position that you are here purely to fuk with this kid because you don't like him, and frankly that is low class in my eyes.

And since you were wondering why I wasn't in here defending my prior posts, it's because after 50 hours of work this week I had dinner with my family and then spent 5 hours actually assembling a motor instead of hand firing a load all over my keyboard about a boat I don't own and a kid I don't like.

As for you Cigmaster, you come in here with pictures nobody has ever seen and act like we should have driven out to Syracuse and personally inspected this boat before defending Phil. Come on man, I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE FINAL PRODUCT. The free market will dictate the eventual selling price of this boat, and if it sells for 15 grand then Phil will no doubt learn he has to up his game or not bother. I still stand by the fact he doesn't need people crapping on his boat that have no skin in the game.

The funniest thing AGAIN, is that I am the only one that you and one other person are aiming at, this thread has had at least 20 haters yet you pinpoint me, admit its a fukking hack job... you wont.. low class? really? I guess you missed the part where Phil tole me and many others to go fuk ourselves before this got out of hand, like a few of use advised without being diks that he was towing with a 8" drop held with a pin hitch, BAD IDEA, we were nice, he schooled us on how he tows 15,000 lbs with it and we don't need to worry... now let me ask you since you worked so hard all week to have dinner with your family, would it not suck to have your wife and family killed because a smart ass kid tows a 14,000 lb boat with a chit hitch and it broke and the boat went off hit family head on? yea think about that.... but I am the azzhole... whatever....it all started with him... not me or anyone else, we tried to help, he was telling all of us we had no idea and his PERFECT work will show and when he sells the boat for big money, he was just as strong showing us as we were against him...

Where is Phil defending himself? I didn't say you defend yourself, I said PHIL... not sure how you got that.

I came in here with pics FROM THE SURVEY, not mine, but so many guys here said it looks great!!!!! I think whoever said that is either blind or was at least 100 feet away, come on... be a MAN and admit that is NOT quality....

all the pro Phil guys cannot admit it's a hack job now and look bad..I get it, but secretly all of you know it's a hack job..survey was sent to me and many others somehow.... man that just proved us right...

keep givin me the heat, it's the internet who cares, some guys here are buddys the rest not, does not effect my daily life and abilitys..if you guys think it's so nice buy it....

.

you cant tell me that you don't think it's a hack job... come on..... admit it. One of my BIGGEST reasons for being a dik is he lies and hides... I don't want to see someone get fukked over, you saw my engine thread, the guy PHIL'D them for a buddy of mine and I got fukked because of it...they guy hacked these engines to the point of the blocks being saveable that's it.... so yes if I can make sure Phil does not do that to someone new to boating and pay too much for a hack job and I save one buyer from it I am happy.... but yet again I take the heat...

Woukld you not want to read a few threads or at least one on a boat that is hacked together before you spend 20,000++ on it? yea thought so... you pro Phil guys don't get it "watch out for fellow members" I AM! and someone might thank me, Sick Stinger, Mild Thunder, Offshore excursion, Yamaha24, Lil Red and a few others later for saving them from buying a hack job, I would rather a certain few bash on me then watch someone make a horrible decision... plain and simple, if you fault me for that then you have the issues....

I bet ICDEDPPL wishes he would have seen a thread with people saying how hacked his engines were and whatever else was HIDDEN on his boat before he bought it.... I GAURANTEE it and deep down he knows it.... so don't fault the guys calling Phil out....for trying to fuk someone over

Not at all the case, if I met him at a boating even I would buy him a beer and most likely we would smooth it over and move on, it has happened here with a few guys... I am not a person to make life suck for someone, just a guy who has been fukked over by things like Phil doing (my engines) and HATE BS'rs I have no personal issues with Phil just would not buy anything from him.

vintage chromoly 10-04-2014 07:20 AM

No need to worry about anyone getting buffaloed on this pile of junk he's selling Tim. A 10 year old girl could look at that mess and immediately see it's a pile of crap. :lolhit:

There isn't an item / system on that boat that is up to snuff. The entire pile is in need of reworking. Honestly, it's worth more parted out as a proper restoration would put a guy 40 to 50 k upside down!

This thread has definitely highlighted the young mans gumption and, along with it, his shortcomings on paint and bodywork, his lack of experience, his lack of integrity and what a mess this thing really is.

So, who's going to buy this for anywhere close to 30k? :angry-smiley-038:

I can see why it only took you a few days now that its done stripping the boat takes the most time and i did that over the winter when it was cold in the shop. i just ASKED about if you could sand blast a motor assembled due to i havent done an assembled motor before... i think the only hold up on this boat is that ralph is taking for ever on the interior and wont return my calls. i found a local guy 5 mins away that does kick ass work and understands time frames so im going to use him from now on. and yes, my shop does not have heat yet, but you realize its spring time in NY right...its been 70 for the past month whats your point about no heat? were planning on insulating it and adding heat before the winter if i stay in this building. what do you think this is? alaska? :stooges: when you know what your doing with paint and body and how to do it efficiently it isnt a big task... what will take me the most time will probably be redoing my dash... oh ya and the trailers almost done too Came out great btw :eekdrop:

its really not too hard to not tell these guys to eff off because once the boat is done, on or close to time frame AND my budget, none of them will have anything to say. my budget is right on track and i stand to make a 5 figure pay check easy. Nice, what you gonna do with that 5 figure check you easily got? my motors checked out 100% in the leak down. along with the vast amount of people who have PM'd me saying keep up the good work and not to worry about the D bags on this site who just jerk each other off when one guy has a problem 7 of their buddies jump on boat with them and end up just running people off. i am trying to make this a first class business down the road. make it my living. i never claimed to know everything but am very knowledgable. i learn quick and make connections. i already have a motor guy on speed dial who lives 2 miles from my shop and another guy who helps out who loves what im doing so much that they stop by just to see how its going. Im at my shop 7 nights a week till 2 am to get this done on time. every business starts somewhere and you would think having a young, educated guy with drive and talent and the bank account and connections to really have a shot at making a mark on the powerboat scene being a one stop shop for anything you want done to your boat, not going to a paint shop, then ship it to a rigging shop then to the motor guy, then fix the trailer while your there, people would be all over it. its just like politics, your not going to make everyone happy, always going to have someone who disagrees, like i said, i felt bad for the guy who missed out on the boat but i feel like this boat was far over his head Glad it went to a guy as experianced as you, and well within your talents and not his dumb azz and when he saw the boat in person he probably would have walked away. but yall have a nice night, i just got back from the shop. hitting the sack, gotta mow clients all day tomorrow then back at it.

And THAT is the heart of the matter right there. I gave him a lot of credit for his passion and enthusiasm until he posted something on FB right after the LOTO crash that took Mike Fiore's life that I found pretty offensive and it showed his lack of maturity and humility and from that point forward, I was done with him. It is that behavior that got this thread to 60+ pages. Unfortunately, the haters will hate no matter what, but he brought a lot of that on himself with the bluster and arrogance. I have not seen the boat in person nor do I really care to.. in the end, it will sell or not and no matter what is posted here, if the buyer doesn't do his own homework and know what he's buying, then that's really their problem.

Should have nice HIGH RES photos By the end of the weekend. Going to throw a quick buff and wax on it Friday night after I pick it up and finally knock on wood get to enjoy it for a weekend. Not to get any one rialled up.. But I'm going to be asking $47,000 with a 20hr full warentee on the boat front to back. And a 2 year warrantee on the paint. Does the warranty work start before the boat leaves the shop? Again, these photos don't do anything justice, just posting them so y'all know she's almost finished. The dash came out pretty sweet. It sure did The original gauges totally take it to the retro phase IMO. I Think I hit this right on with updating and not going crazy but clean and simple. Not making this boat something it's not. Can't wait to post up pics and hear all the constructive critisim from all you guys! Hopefully with this first boat I will gain some respect from some of the few on here.

Hyfive I agree with you that the buy should make sure due dilagence is accounted for, but if everyone says awesome job Phil came out awesome Phil, excellent work Phil. Some one a few hundred miles away may consider and bring his boat there due to the family come ding him and supporting him. Only to find out it will look like a 5 year old and a crayon commercial gone completely wrong. I'm sure mistvwoukdcask for pics , past redos, current in process of. Wow! Haven't looked at this thread in awhile and its another 10 pages. I am one of the original "haters" don't know why everyone is just bashing FF. Once people got to see the boat at LOTO and said it was nice I thought to myself sweet the kid pulled it off, good for him!! But these new pictures show a whole new side to the story. I don't want to bash Phil anymore. He seems to be a good kid with great motivation and love for boating. Phil the boat is not finished yet. Finish the boat and all the details, this is not what you want to show people or sell if you really want to start a shop.
