No offense IC but this is not above average but opinion of course. This I do not believe is comparable to your boat due to hardware size ect ect. At its most basic state, he had the floor up and out was a new fuel hose installed. This is to accredit or discredit the quality of what is being presented and brought to the table.

Im not a phil hater or a phil cheerleader... My posts have pretty much been practical advice to help him succeed. That said, if I am going to pay 30k for an old boat, I want everything to at least work. .

Pretty soon you will see post on here "DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM 315******" I think that is where the bashers are headed with this whole thread. The kid is out to rob someone and has shady business practices. Or he is super excited and needs to go to work for a real performance boat builder/restoration specialist to see what quality looks like.

Mark kids get credit for drive and ambition. Thats as far as it goes talent is more then laying paint and making it look good but good over all product is conveying talent caring pride and good practices and morals across the board and through out.

I never once said this boat was anything. And I would never take your word for it FF or anybody else. If the boat is a complete hack job it won't sell, pure and simple, and he will still learn a valuable lesson from that.
I stand by my position that you are here purely to fuk with this kid because you don't like him, and frankly that is low class in my eyes. And since you were wondering why I wasn't in here defending my prior posts, it's because after 50 hours of work this week I had dinner with my family and then spent 5 hours actually assembling a motor instead of hand firing a load all over my keyboard about a boat I don't own and a kid I don't like. As for you Cigmaster, you come in here with pictures nobody has ever seen and act like we should have driven out to Syracuse and personally inspected this boat before defending Phil. Come on man, I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE FINAL PRODUCT. The free market will dictate the eventual selling price of this boat, and if it sells for 15 grand then Phil will no doubt learn he has to up his game or not bother. I still stand by the fact he doesn't need people crapping on his boat that have no skin in the game. |

There isn't an item / system on that boat that is up to snuff. The entire pile is in need of reworking. Honestly, it's worth more parted out as a proper restoration would put a guy 40 to 50 k upside down! This thread has definitely highlighted the young mans gumption and, along with it, his shortcomings on paint and bodywork, his lack of experience, his lack of integrity and what a mess this thing really is. So, who's going to buy this for anywhere close to 30k? :angry-smiley-038: |

its really not too hard to not tell these guys to eff off because once the boat is done, on or close to time frame AND my budget, none of them will have anything to say. my budget is right on track and i stand to make a 5 figure pay check easy. Nice, what you gonna do with that 5 figure check you easily got? my motors checked out 100% in the leak down. along with the vast amount of people who have PM'd me saying keep up the good work and not to worry about the D bags on this site who just jerk each other off when one guy has a problem 7 of their buddies jump on boat with them and end up just running people off. i am trying to make this a first class business down the road. make it my living. i never claimed to know everything but am very knowledgable. i learn quick and make connections. i already have a motor guy on speed dial who lives 2 miles from my shop and another guy who helps out who loves what im doing so much that they stop by just to see how its going. Im at my shop 7 nights a week till 2 am to get this done on time. every business starts somewhere and you would think having a young, educated guy with drive and talent and the bank account and connections to really have a shot at making a mark on the powerboat scene being a one stop shop for anything you want done to your boat, not going to a paint shop, then ship it to a rigging shop then to the motor guy, then fix the trailer while your there, people would be all over it. its just like politics, your not going to make everyone happy, always going to have someone who disagrees, like i said, i felt bad for the guy who missed out on the boat but i feel like this boat was far over his head Glad it went to a guy as experianced as you, and well within your talents and not his dumb azz and when he saw the boat in person he probably would have walked away. but yall have a nice night, i just got back from the shop. hitting the sack, gotta mow clients all day tomorrow then back at it. |

And so from the beginning it was stated this would be a heap, poor workmanship, and take longer then a month. Mine took 3 YEARS. Lil red know and a few others do to how long my cafe took and what the out come was.

Hyfive I agree with you that the buy should make sure due dilagence is accounted for, but if everyone says awesome job Phil came out awesome Phil, excellent work Phil. Some one a few hundred miles away may consider and bring his boat there due to the family come ding him and supporting him. Only to find out it will look like a 5 year old and a crayon commercial gone completely wrong. I'm sure mistvwoukdcask for pics , past redos, current in process of. But a couple would go on the good faith of us that applaud this toilet yet only thing missing is the flush handle.

Wow! Haven't looked at this thread in awhile and its another 10 pages. I am one of the original "haters" don't know why everyone is just bashing FF. Once people got to see the boat at LOTO and said it was nice I thought to myself sweet the kid pulled it off, good for him!! But these new pictures show a whole new side to the story. I don't want to bash Phil anymore. He seems to be a good kid with great motivation and love for boating. Phil the boat is not finished yet. Finish the boat and all the details, this is not what you want to show people or sell if you really want to start a shop.

makes me wonder if they know good from bad .. im not a hater of the kid he has drive and a dream but lets get real this boat is not a quality job a while back he needed a gill manifold for this boat I texted him I had 1 and he could have it for free .then he started with mine isn't the same as his he needed a left not a right .there all the same as we know.. we swapped pics back and forth. in the end I gave trying to help when I was told to overnight it .I did try to help him but he made me feel like I didn't know what I had .hes gonna learn the hard way |
