frickstyle 10-07-2014 03:34 PM

I tried to call you friend, but doesn't matter anymore. I believe that I'm going to put a set of 5s on it and forget about the Konrads, peace of mind, and I couldn't afford the 6s.

Anyone want some brand new Konrads?

not worried about that, it's not a 18k boat lol. it's not exactly something the average joe is going to want, buy or be able to stroke a check for.

Do you really think anyone is going to buy your boat now with all of the crap on the net? Have you tried googling your name?

*NEW Professional cockpit re rigged, Misleading-a cockpit consists of much more than shifter cables

*Upstate Powerboat. We are a new shop located out of the syracuse NY area. You don't have a shop you rent storage space, you don't have a business license, commercial insurance, employees, workers comp, a sign, you have nothing yet you are trying to convince a potential customer that you are a new Chief Performance?

*We built this boat to bring it out to LOTO for the shoot out. It was previously being built for a client who backed out. which story is it? did you forget that you have posted updates all along clearly saying you didnt have a buyer?

*The boat was stripped to a shell, and brought back to where it is now Not even close to "stripped to a shell" did you forget you posted pics?

*It runs 62 on GPS in 1' chop with full tank and 2 people. Not accurate as per the sea trial survey

WTF ?There is no cracking at all on this boat. It was actually in AWESOME condition when i bought it. Though it was neglected for some amount of years before we got out hands on it and brought it back to life. Do you even read what you type?

The boat comes with a HEAVY duty trip axle trailer. 6 brand new bearings and 6 tires. 2 new fenders. new lights. etc etc.Completely misleading compared to this "and go for my trailer i really dont care... i told everyone its ratty,"
*The boat has had a survey last week and can be made available. sea trail went awesome. An awesome sea-trial/survey doesn't have your laundry list of issues that have been published

If a cafe isnt your style, we can build any boat for any budget. we have a carbon 92 gun coming next week, and a P29 soon after. Completely misleading, you cannot build any boat for any budget, you painted a boat, ordered an interior job, ordered a rigging, that does not constitute a professional boat building shop

Two things bothered me on that post..... One when you said "you don't own a shop" what business have you started off the ground from scratch or what business do you know of that bought a shop immediately before renting one? What is wrong with renting a shop for a new company that just started? Not everyone can start off with endless money to buy anything and every thing they want. And where did you get the idea Phil is doing his work out of a storage unit? I have seen both of Phil's shops and both of them were full buildings not storage units.

Sick Stinger 10-07-2014 08:37 PM

Nice those are the stuff the get you pumped

Sick Stinger 10-07-2014 08:43 PM

Black thunder since you have seen his shop, you have seen his work up close I would presume, if being so how is the quality, supply's and materials, up to marine stadaed or above ? Would you have him repair, touch up, restore , or any of the glass paint work that falls or the hulk repair pin wheel? In your honest opinion is he stating and projecting him self and his work / biz accurately and true?

I have only seen his shops in photos but I have seen the boat up close. The problem with the ad (and I told Phil this) is that the photos of the boat really suck. If you really want people to be wowed at your work on a boat you restored you can't make a ad with photo were the boat is incomplete you need to make it look perfect and all put together save the progress photos for your restoration threads because it only makes the boat look bad if the photos on the ad are bad. I have seen Phil's boat in person at the shoot out and if Phil was closer to where I live I would have him do the work to my boat if it needed repair or paint.

Sick Stinger 10-08-2014 05:46 AM

I respect your answer an glad to hear it. My only thought is if you feel Phil's work is worth him working on you boat, your ok with over spray and incorrect adhesives used. Since the survey was after the shoot out and show very poor you saw all of this. Not to mention he does not disclose what has to be done in any of his ads or that there is no cabin door. Good buissness ethics? I believe not

"Seller's Note

Cigarette Boat! Cafe Racer! ~ Restored

Here is a just finished Cafe done by Upstate Powerboat. We are a new shop located out of Elbridge off of Rt 5. We built this boat to bring it out to LOTO for the shoot out and just got back. It was being built for a client who wanted a TURN KEY wave crusher... he backed out.
"
Neither restored or turn key apply to this boat.

Mine is put away as of yesterday. Changed the holding tank so next season I will actually have a head lol... What a pain in the azz it was too. That took the longest. I need to change the water draw pump, but that is easy and I'll deal with it in the spring

Just kidding man, I have nothing against other brands. I don't wanna talk about my project, I feel like pushing it into the lake with the open holes on the transom and moving on to something else. I hate project boats. Maybe I can give it to Phil?

you are only three hours from me and my shop. i know you are capable of finishing it yourself but the longer it drags out the less interest you have in the project, i understand completely. you are more than welcome to bring it up to my shop in the spring and tim and i can jam it out in short time for short money and get you back on the water. the door is always open:)
