Hey Victor!!
thanks its been quite the journey, just got new windshield bracket made for the 20, luckily the one from the tiger was an exact match so we had a pattern,so new windshields on both of them. just talked with the guys at Md Offshore and we are doing a new floor in the 20 as well as a new water pickup as first run out the pressure was fluctuating. in the spring for the Tiger it will be getting Ceramic coated all over, prop testing, smaller pulleys and tweaking the tune. then enjoy it and on to the next project.. might have a top secret one coming ;)... Best to you and your Family!

"Next project" - interesting. That might mean you've just added up all your receipts and realized you could have just bought a brand new Maurader!!!

Ive looked at a couple of the marauders I would only want a stagger, the sides are pretty wavy on a few of them. I have my eye on a few in the 46-50 ft range, just have to see what happens, ive had a few people express interest in the Tiger when complete as it will be like new, at a 3rd of the cost.

looking Great! Nice to see how far you have come with it.

offshoredrillin 01-18-2019 10:55 AM

Brandon got the vinyl together for the sunpad, normally they are recessed on the tiger, but he is raising it up level and using a stiffer memory foam for comfort while chilling.. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...feb886f219.jpg

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAYUM that's beautiful!!!!

offshoredrillin 01-18-2019 08:56 PM

thanks guys... i have seen tons of boats, but i have to say to look down the side you really see how bad some molds are. Cig nailed this one and Andys guys in their prep work have made it smooth as glass. I cant wait to get Ceramic coating on it and really get the pearls to pop. I'm also going to coat the new awlgrip bottom that was done by Mark at Rage.

You don't strike me as a muffler guy......

Boat looks great. Hey you can't wait until spring breaks

I love them, its not as quiet as one would think, Corsa makes a nice muffler.. I even put them on the 20, i dont need the cops hassling me for any reason. Corsa also makes one for 1200 hp and up that doesnt affect HP but gives a little break in sound when backing into tiki bars and such.

I'll never get back what I have in it, but I would consider realistic offers. I know the number that takes it, and with the exception of the cabin (for now) everything is new.

Quinlan 01-21-2019 08:08 AM

Do you have spacers in the SCXs? Mine are coming out shortly since I went with low water pickups also. I ran it with out for a few weeks but WP was hit and miss.

Looking Great!!

No I dont, i only had it out a few times so Its not fully dialed in yet, w 30's I was hitting rev limiter at 92 mph, tried 32 labs wmf had for his ts and it didnt like them, so im going to try bretts 32 4 speeds as well as the 30 and see how it runs.. i do have 1/2 inch spacers if needed... going to see how it is with those then putting smaller pulleys on going from 7 to 9lbs and tuning with FU marine.

Quinlan 01-22-2019 04:58 PM

I wouldn't think the spaces will be needed either. I noticed no difference getting on plane w mine w/o the spacers.

I'm hoping not, it gets up pretty quick now, if i can spin the bigger diameter 30's or 32's to max rpm it should put me close to or over 100.. with the new blueprinted and painted bottom it will be exciting to find out.

What ceramic coat are you using, if you dont mind me asking? Trying to get a little education on them, as I am thinking about doing it on my Red gel cruiser to try and stop fading/oxidation?

I use 2 in my business, Ceramic Pro is my base line, but for a true 10H hardness I use Kenzo and Kenzo Marine by IGL

scarabman 02-04-2019 05:57 AM

Thanks. Both of those have to be certified installer applied, correct? Any recommendation for a diy product?

Correct, kenzo definitely by a good installer, ceramic pro somehow seems to wind up in everyone's hands even though they say professional only... the main thing is the prep, if you have older dry gel, it needs to be done right before you apply product other wise it will just absorb it all and it wont last as long. if you are going over clear, do a buff, polish and then a alcohol wipe, then apply.

been a while since i updated, new fusion and bluave stereo as well as new cockpit and sunpad upholstery...

offshoredrillin 04-11-2019 07:58 AM

all the fusion stereo components are made by garmin so are 100% interface-able with the GPS, getting all the NEMA hookups done.. when they took all the wiring out from the previous systems, Mitch said it was about 100 lbs of wire, from at least 5 diff systems and diff people working on it over the years, i only put one in. there were some speaker wires that were run with power wires and some laying on top of power, no wonder I had alternator noise in the stereo.https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...efb19e72b8.jpg

I know I can google it but can you give us the low down on ceramic coating? Is it only over paint, gell? Is it one time only??

Hey J, you can do it over both, it works best on the smoothest surface. most have a 9H hardness, it would still work on a porous gel, but it would soak up a ton of product and not last as long. I have used most of them and an am now using Xpel fusion plus, out of all of them it has the best properties and smoothness, plus it is formulated to not have high spots if one does arise it can be reactivated to get rid of it, the ceramic molecules form a hard ceramic bond to protect and comes with a 4 year warranty. it can go on metal, glass, chrome, plastic and rubber.. we are testing now on seats and vinyl, im sure the tiger interior will be the test mule for it

working on a new seadeck floor in the 20, putting on the windshield, and changing water pickups on it.. have some fine tuning to do on it, with the whipple and the big props on the black hawk it will snap your neck putting it in gear,lol.. its what us broke guys do..lol
