What is the flex duct running through gunnels?

offshoredrillin 04-14-2019 07:13 AM

its from the naca ducts on the deck, getting air back to the bilge

Hey J, you can do it over both, it works best on the smoothest surface. most have a 9H hardness, it would still work on a porous gel, but it would soak up a ton of product and not last as long. I have used most of them and an am now using Xpel fusion plus, out of all of them it has the best properties and smoothness, plus it is formulated to not have high spots if one does arise it can be reactivated to get rid of it, the ceramic molecules form a hard ceramic bond to protect and comes with a 4 year warranty. it can go on metal, glass, chrome, plastic and rubber.. we are testing now on seats and vinyl, im sure the tiger interior will be the test mule for it

Thanks for the response. That’s a good 101 explanation. That will be interesting to see on how it does on the upholstery...

offshoredrillin 04-14-2019 08:38 AM

im sure it will be fine, i have been using 9H products on interiors for years, just have to put the disclaimer out that this one in particular hasnt been tested.

Would you hurry up and get this thing done?! I’m excited to see it on the water!

Not yet, couple more things to do, a couple touch ups and making sure all the senders are communicating with the new autometer gauges.. every mftr now uses their own senders so if you change gauges get ready to change them too :)

Just got it back home, I have to put the cabin back together. sitting in florida for the time that it did some of the vinyl was sagging and Im sure rivhy did nothing to help it, Im just going to remove those sections and should have it out running in the next week or so. They got it fired up and running, so once i tidy up in there some we should have it out testing. had the 20 out yesterday for a few hours.. its a little rocket ship

offthefront 08-19-2019 10:06 AM

one of my duallys.. i wanted each boat to have a matching truck, lol a guy has to accessorize... the blue 01 is a 496 with an allison and a djm 8/6 lowering kit and 19.5s.. has 185k miles on it. i just got the white one in sept last year, its a duramax with only 49k miles on it, same djm 8/6 drop with 19.5s... the blue one now hauls the 20, but the AC wasnt working so i took the white one yesterday.https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...c777f0ac99.jpg

offshoredrillin 09-14-2019 05:41 PM

Finally hit the water... had a great day. 99.5% perfect.. just a couple little things to switch.. i was a little nervous after not running it for nearly 3 years, popped right up on plane. ran around for a few minutes and took it up to 90 with no issues.. i think it has more in it, FU Marine is going to tune it with that and props i think it has 100 in it. had lunch with some friends and it did get its first booboo so glad thats over and done with, just a little dock rash...https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...cbf77dc2e9.jpg

not really just a small chip in the red, bout the size of a pinhead.. i know exactly where it happened im actually glad its over with.. i run it, i want it to look good obviously but things happen.. ill touch it up and move on.. a small chip compared to if richys craptastic paint was on there it would be the size of a manhole cover

seafordguy 09-15-2019 09:19 AM

Cool. Glad it wasn't a big one!
