Yes, I do want to see it. The insert/mold/liner does move on mine also. I thought something was busted loose on mine, but Tim explained it and it makes sense.

Curious, Is this all the bench seat style cabins? Division1 I can remember which cabin style is in yours...

snapmorgan 01-10-2019 11:50 AM

I had the prototype fuel injection system that Eddie built for the 575's. It is WELL worth the investment. The engine started, idled and ran much better than it ever did with the factory throttle bodies. mine was making 730 HP after the modifications. I also sent my blower to DMPE to have it worked over. they Teflon stripped it as part of their rebuild and it added another pound of boost in doing so.

after 4 guns that was in and Justin asking me if my liner shook around I ran in solid 3’s with door open and mine does not move, I have a early layup so I am wondering if mine was still accessed from the closet side. I will
know soon as I have to see about replacing my water tank this winter

frickstyle 01-11-2019 07:20 AM

^^^Tim, thought you said that yours was glassed in from the factory? Some were, some weren't? Either a model year thing or a change in the build process?

Full Force 01-11-2019 07:54 AM

I can only assume since mine does not shake around, I hope to see shortly when I do tank, stop over one day and drink beer

The 1987 gun had a different liner set up slightly. The 89 up boats had this liner problem. It is fairly commmon. Also depends on how and we’re the boat was ran. I have made a lot of modifications to my cabin closets. There is a lot of room behind the walls of the closets. So after we cut the backs out and really tabbed the liner in to the boat we ate in the process of building new walls in the closets and making them much bigger. For storage purposes. We have added the full slider power door and used the access behind in the closets to mount the cylinder and hardware. I can take more detailed pictures if anyone needs them

That’s some awesome craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing

I don't feel bad passing that one up now lol

We gotta get together soon... you know your welcome for rides just let me know..

division1 06-26-2019 05:27 PM

90 percent of what I’m doing is just to make better than it ever was. A lot of these guns from the 90s had these issiues and with all the updates and mods it’s just easier to start fresh. Ran al new engine harnesses from the back all the way up to the distribution block. Mercury zero effort throttles we are in deep lol. Entire boat in the process of being stripped of all paint and gel coat and getting ready for new gel and paint !!!

wow, that's pretty rude!

Glad to hear you're making headway, sounds like another really nice restore.

division1 06-27-2019 04:32 PM

It’s all good It really does take a certain person to take on these large projects. I want a boat I can rely on every weekend and one I know the ins and outs of. I want it to be extremely solid when running in the snot water without doors and liners banging around. And who doesn’t like a good resto project!?!?!?

Not rude, he knows what I meant, we talk all the time, basically meaning I have no desire at all to be into a project right now, he and I talked about that last fall.

I think I may have solved my massive oil leak problem. Completely my fault, used the wrong fittings, should be on the water today/tomorrow.

bigboat28 06-30-2019 08:48 AM

Nice

division1 07-08-2019 09:44 PM

Had to take a week break I realized after 10 min of sanding with a 8 inch mud hog I needed a way bigger compressor lol. Ran bigger power to the shop along with a water line and got more air. K ow back to work !!!!

On to modifications

This is were the spider crack is due to tabing that came lose so the bulkhead that holds the dash was just hitting the side.
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...0a0fd850c.jpeg

Bulk head that is used to mount the dash to. They only tab one side from the factory. And they only used one piece of glass. I ground it all clean and I’m going to tab in in with a few layer.

division1 07-11-2019 04:04 PM

Well I built it from the ground up. Started with a frame had it sandblasted powered coated them we painted it . I did all new suspension parts 3 inch lift air bags red head steering box bog Warner steering shaft. Used all Carly suspension parts all new brakes , all new factory lines literary replaced every bolt. Head studded engine big single turbo pac brake ext lol list goes on . Drove to South Carolina bought a 2005 ram 1500 with 47k on with a blown 4.7. Got it for super cheap. It was a slt Laramie so it was loaded. Interior was like new heated seats ect heck the paint was even perfect. Took my time swamped over all the diesel harness for dash and stuff. All new heater core ac parts ext. all silicone hoses I really just replaced everything lol. 2.5 commercial hitch as well. I actually sold my 2015 f350 cause the 6.7 was giving me problems I wanted to go back to a truck I could work on myself lol. I love how it can out pulls great and it’s paid for lol

Wow! Great Job. Do any trans upgrades? What turbo did you go with? I have an '06 that I did a bunch to, Thuren suspension, upgraded hitch to 2.5", air bags, lots of bolt on upgrades, but kept stock turbo.
