Most would be hesitant to submit a claim for fear of being dropped or not being able to afford the jacked up premiums after the fact.

Yea, the deal in Powell was a Chevron station I believe and was tied to some big money. However, the owner of the MTI ALSO has big money and fought the long fight, eventually winning. I would think it to be a difficult case no matter what.

Nope.

For US standards, it has to be sent to a lab that have, if I remember correct, a variable compression engine specifcally set up to test US octane standards. Not cheap by anyone's standards. There are cheap Ethanol % vs gas testers.
