Thank you, we haven't even been able to plane yet due to the ABS/Traction control still being active in the computer.
I didn't realize that rake would have that effect!

good question
Did you have drop boxes?
My drop box is 18 inches long
I have cut out some of the floor in the skater
to accept the lower stud holes.
the reason i chose 4 degrees is thats transom
angle on the mystics and no more then 6 on others.
You should see my speed dial list of who has
helped me lol
here is low altitude

Notice height 4 degree transom

I had to lower engines 5 inches, Exhaust, Turbines are at 4.5 degrees to match bpm flanges as you know u joint mating flanges must match.
The list goes on and on !!!!
Common sense tells me that i should have left it alone but i dont really have any.

I wouldn't worry too much as when the water leaves the transom it starts to rise from the running surface anyway and most BPM setups I have seen seen don't seem to have any positive trim.
It's all going to be trial and error as your hull was designed for #6 and I really don't think you're far away from what my setup looks like.
How many steps has your hull? steps, tunnel configuration weight CG are all going to play a part in your bow lift as well as speed and tunnel compression.

Mine seems to carry its bow really well no tunnel flaps and 18-degree props.

A good friend who has a lot of experience with arnesons drives always said to get on plane you bury the drives and bury the sticks and when she bites pull back a little .

You can always mount the trim rams and extension boxes a little high and dial in with spacers between the trim ram and extension box at a later date if needed.

Looking on the bright side you going to pick up power and reliability with the BPMs I am sure it will be all worth it in the end.

At this point I would say try what you got . is it possible to remove any material from the bottle jack mounting flange if you can't get the trim angle you need ?

When fully trimmed up mine are 2 degrees negative also to the running surface just in front of the dropbox the same as the angle you have in the photo.

I plan on doing a dry start and run on trailer this weekend checking everything
im about a week out for sea trial. i am currently waiting on parts so i have some idle days
where i could pull the boxes and re drill one inch lower which would increase my positive trim range by
over a inch. I am 9 months into this mess so whats a couple more weeks.
By raising it one inch i would loose some negative trim.
There were so many variables involved like how much tunnel water to grab.
Sixes were at 86 inches apart. The Angled Bpms are 68 inches. Props are grabbing much more tunnel water.
Which leads me to Aerators are you running them?
the mystics have them built into the bussel.
Sounds like you got a chance to run yours????
oh yea 4 steps on the Skater two large ones and smaller ones.
here this was Stolen from Dale Reznors (spelling ) sry Dale. 46 Skater history thread!
