I put in at Rivers edge last week, plenty of water didn't have to get the trailer into the bad zone like last year. Saved $76 in LED Lites

correct -LOTSA water, the most usable I've ever seen that ramp.

Wow, finally a minute to catch up.

Gail is doing very well! Thank you for the phone calls of support.

It is a 2 place break of her ankle and the bones are in "very good alignment" so the cast (up to her knee) should do the trick. We have to go back to my "Ortho Guy" (really a women or chick) next Thursday for another x-ray to check progress.

I will keep you all informed of what's going on.

Thanks again,

Gail and Dave

Thanks for all of the offers to "use" my boat!!

Just fill it up when you're done!

Who knows, we might just get up there this weekend after all. Gail is feeling pretty good right now. I'm going to give her a little more time to think about it, she is a trooper. If she truly wants to make the trip, then we will be there!

Nice to finally meet you Jeff, for a Flocker you're alright. Well other than the sucker deal with the Cheetah. But my "Info Girl" had already scouted out your ringer. I've trained her well!!!

It was a comfort to me to know that Jack D was watching over the security if the homeland. :drink: Nothing like big handguns and a couple gallon jugs of good old American made whisky to make you feel all safe and fuzzy.

Well Jeff you know what Bird said earlier when you were showing that one about not long for me to come up with a comeback. What was it now, 10 maybe 20 seconds for this one?

Quote Ragged, roadside earlier today: "Well you'll notice that the only way the Hustler could get ahead of the Fountain was while it was tied to the dock." :D You be nice now or I'll untie the Biotch.

5PMSMWHR 08-10-2008 07:44 PM

Dayum, I am spent :ernaehrung004::ernaehrung004: What a weekend! Special thanks to Jeff for playing tour guide Saturday. What a ride, saw more cool chit I didn't even know existed. And the porch Saturday, yikes  More characters and cash than ever. Bob, how you doin'?

Per Jim this afternoon the "Take" was $400.00 from Pallet Guy.

Bob seemed to pick up in spirit on saturday night when word came into the boathouse that a longdocker had taken the Pit Plunge as well. I believe the comment was something to the effect "Well I don't feel so Fn' stupid anymore". Nice shortcut there Bob. On a serious side here, he did appear to be a hurtin' unit when he was there on saturday, though we did all have some fun screwing with Axa on the phone.

Pallet guy and his little buddy were goofballs, it was a pleasure booting them after they were out of $$$$. You people ever hear of OSHA up there? Wrong person falls in with a good lawyer and they'll own that place.

ThirdBird 08-11-2008 06:05 AM

Awesome weekend!!!! The River Edge dock was just outrageous Friday. People hanging off balconies, boat chicks flashing, Jeff's tunes blasting, way fun. The border dudes were a blast. They said when they went off duty it was party time and they meant it!! Those boys were just crankin' the Jack.

My wife a little too much fun, she didn't come alive all day Saturday, missed the poker boats, missed the ride, missed the whole day!!!:drink: Should have taken a picture of Julie and Pete stumbling down the dock toward the boat. They looked like two leaning trees, each one holding the other up.

Jeff, the cruise was fantastic, great tour guide man. Lets do it again.

I didn't (couldn't) make it to the Porch Saturday night. I was pretty much spent.

The topper was the 96.1 mph blast in the Hustler. Brian, Jeff's buddy who owns it, took us out Sunday. Four big guys, tons of gear, and we still did over 96!!!! Some serious air time too. That boat flies flat and level. Brian was spot on with the throttles, never a hairy moment. Thanks for setting the ride up Jeff, very cool.

Gotta get some pics up here, I think I have some compromising photos of Jeff and myself. Not quite as bad as Axa and me on the deck though.

Pete,

That is awesome ..... don't forget about the little brunette shaking her booty up and down the dock.

You know when you are having fun when you get the hotel balconies (all of them ... 3 floors) doing the wave and flashing the boaters and you have all the (hot) biotches from the 460 sundancer putting on a show for the balconies ......

That's when it started to get crazy ......

That is what it looked like looking up at the balconies

Samantha,

You and Pete are always welcome to join me for a tour of the river. I could even show Pete what the keys do for his Fountain ..... I figured out why Pete bought a black biotch .... so he can us it at night when nobody can see him.

I will get you a shirt that says "I did the River !!!! in a Formula " :boat:

Just kidd'in Pete .......

Here is a couple of action shots of Bird , Ken and Me on the wall at the RiverEdge :party-smiley-048::party-smiley-048::party-smiley-048:

Yup that was me in the 24 superboat. It is a great little boat for the river and moves pretty good. Was running late on saturday morning and forgot I needed to get some gas in The Bay (need 93 oct) and then meet back up with my brother-in-law up at crossover. I think you and Third may have passed him down river more in a white 242 with black and red trim. Love all black Formula and I gotta say yours looks good. I have a soft spot for Mulas. Nice to get a look at yours and Third's 311s. both are great looking boats I coulda used something a little bigger this weekend got a little bounced around a bit

Ok, so it's too soon for all of us to party like that again! Maybe in a few weeks! After Labor Day weekend & the amateurs go home, it's nice and roomy in the Islands and still very hospitable!

That is exactly the plan Jeff and I discussed a few hours ago. We're shooting for the first weekend after the holiday. We would plan to come up early Friday (take Friday off). Do some nice cruisin' and some moderate cocktailing.

Maybe by then Gail will be a bit better and maybe even be able to ride in the boat. (by the way Gail, I took your tater salad, mmmmmmmm)

Why not the Labor Day Weekend? Could be a four day deal, and 5PM and Ms. Kitty are gone after that weekend. Last chance for an all the Flockers to witness the Big Event ;). I say we plan a big Flockin' To Do for Labor Day Weekend. Could plan a big cook out, some moderate cocktailing, sit around and watch Bob take the big dive into the swill pit, or the short cut as he refers to it. BTW anybody hear from him? How's he doing?

Moderate Cocktailing? I'll believe that when I see it. Though you were rather mellow on saturday nite, as were some of the rest of us.
