Bob has new neighbors!!!
OK!! This may be a little long but this story I do not think can wait till spring. It should be good Sunday morning reading..
Soooo....Bob gos to work Saturday like any other Saturday it is nice and slow just the way we like it..Deb calls me all out of breath about 1 oclock..."Bob the kids tried to set the garage on fire!!!!" So franticly she starts to tell me the story..It was a nice day Sat. so she was debating if she should cut the grass..She decides that it is getting dark so early at night now she better try to take care of it today..She walks out to the garage and opens the man door to the smell of wood burning.Turns the light on and the garage is full of smoke. She does know that this is the smell of wood not boat.then she hears voices and runs to the back of the garage. The voices are outside so she runs back out side to the back corner where she heard the kids to see two boys standing there watching my garage start to burn.:angry-smiley-038:It may have been a good idea that I did not find them.I think I may have snapped:angry-smiley-038: So Deb askes the one boy did you start this he sayes no he did,She askes the other boy,did you start this?He says no he did..So she in a very sweet voice tells them both to go home and Bob will deal with you when he gets home from work.As Deb was running to the house for a bucket of water and calling me at the same time I told her to call 911.Do not know if this was a good idea or not knowing how the fire men can get carried away. Soooo..The fire men and the cops show up.Now imagin this..Deb standing at the garage with two fire men running down my driveway with axes and oxigen tanks on and her calling Bob back 20 miles away. She did have the fire out and that was a good thing.."Bob...The fire department is here" Then I hear her in the back ground.."What do you think you are going to do with that...Guys!!Guys!!!Stay away from that boat!!! Now she is trying to convince the fire men that the boat is not on fire and they want to walk around the back side of the boat to make sure that it is not.All I can think about is how tight I keep the boat backed in to the side wall and the guys with axes and oxegin tanks wanting to try and fit in between the wall and the boat....Luckely for me the same time the fire department showed up so did a Oswego county sheriff that was my neighbor and just got done selling the house to the family that one of the boys now lives in..(I thanked him later for selling it to them....NOT!!!)He was nice enuff to inform the firemen how much time and money goes in to a boat like this that if you are going to check things out you need to do it with your tanks off and with the utmost care!!! WOW!!! What a day..I left work early came home to find Deb filling out police reports and the boat was just fine.. Do you think that the parents of these two boys could come over and ask us if everything is ok,or any damage,As of 11am Sunday...nope!!! Now guys imagine this, and this is what kills us. What if Deb did not decide to mow the lawn????? We might have been looking for a cruiser today!!:drink: |
Nice read Bob...Not sure how I would have handled that situation...Let it burn and go shopping? No way! We both know how much work we put into our boats!
Glad everything worked out! As for the little Bass Turds, I can't believe the parents haven't been there yet. Are the Police going to charge them? Dave |

Were it my garage and boat the little bastiges would be two legged geldings. Maybe you could get Ginger to take a little bite in the right spot. Glad all is ok, hate to see anyone have to go shopping for a cruiser. |

Should we bring in the cavalry to look after this? I hope thes punks realize how chit they are in and that the police might end up being thier best friends .... if they know what is good for them. I have absolutely no time for type of bullchit. I had 4 kids in my neighbourhood 3 years ago constantly terrorizing the hood until they found out what a 260lb pissed off Canadian out Captain Morgans could do. It was actually quite funny one of them pissed thier pants right in my drive way once I caught them trying to steal my cooler from a day out on the water. After calling the cops and belittleing the kid for pissing his pants they never surfaced again. I assume that the boat is ok .... no smoke damage or anything like that. Talk to you soon .... Jeff |

Dave All I can say is that she's drinking Burbon and has some nice tatas. You can clearly see I had a good vantage point during the test cruise. I'm thinking tour boat waves and a bounce test was in order. :D |
He appears to have the same attention span whether driving a cruiser or a fountain.
As for the little bastages in Phoenix, make sure you keep them there. I think the parents should be beat for raising such stupid kids. |

That sounds awesome did you pull the trigger ? Jeff Bird's buying a sled? I thought I remembered him saying he gave all that chit up in favor of a warm barstool. Had something to do with no trees to run into. :drink: Little Bro has one of those 1000 Machs sitting in the back of a truck on the lot now, trade in on a new vehicle, ...................... maybe I'll buy it and rip you a new one, be like summer all over again! :D |

Hey bring those things out to Michigan and we'll show you around. $20 or $25 for a trial permit all you need as long as there regestered. Awsome trails, no insurance required. We brought our Vipers to NY a few years back cost us full regestration fees and insurance.
Why would we want to go to Chitsagain? Your snow different than the white frozen chit we get here? BTW, got the PM and will get the Velo chit together and out to you. I'm sure it's worth more than the membership you had to buy in order to PM me the address. Besides now you're legit, not just a freeloader. Only thing here is that it dosen't sound like you are absolutley sure where the fock you live, will the Little Brown Truck be able to find your house? Think about that and let me know. |

"I'm faster". "Are not". "Am too". "Are not".................. Well this lasted a long F'n time, like 4 hours and 16 minutes, before someone jumped into your chit here. Honestly I was looking for Rip to chime in and tell you guys how inefficient on fuel those big CC sleds really are. A dissertation of sorts on range and economical operation. I'm just going to get the :food-smiley-007:, sit back and watch. :D |

I can keep you guessing ALL winter my friend...Although I do have a photo of the recall....Just one more of this past summer's secrets...

Bob, You want to remember who takes care of Deb with the 8 & 12 year old Burbon when you visit.:drink: Otherwise she be stuck with that swill from the slurpie machine. So fess up here! I need the target number for the winter upgrade program. So far the only work being done is the paint work at Kolor Craft in the next couple weeks, do I really need to get out my tool box? I'm guessing if it was that good it would be up here. I'm going to buy stock in Jiffy Pop :food-smiley-007: . It's going to be another long winter of empty claims and endless bull chit. I was looking foreward to the "Sled Heads" having at it for a change. |

Some things I just like to keep to myself...Besides, I built my boat for me...not to beat you. You can twist that anyway you want, but that is the way it is. Be patient...You will still have time for spring upgrades. Although....so will I! :D You will never get back by my Formula with that Fountain you currently own...That I am sure of! Cheryl and I have run just about every trial in the UP from the east to the west on the northern side and never had a bad day. week ends in the lower can get real busy and crazy at times - trails get wopped out and make it a long ride. Let us know if your headin our way I probably have trail maps for where ever your going and would be more than willing to join lead or follow:drink: As for studs, again all depends on the lady, we run paddles but have been stuck on hard pack wishing we had them. I have lots of links for conditions and they are pretty reliable if needed. Count us in Al & Cheryl |

Count us in Al & Cheryl As for studs, I'm a paddle guy too. Been running paddle tracks since the mid '90s on my Summits, then had an inch-and-a-halfer on my 700 Yami. My current sled has the stock 1" track. I know it's not enough for the torque of this thing but I'll run it this year and see how it goes. As for studs, I don't really believe in them. They're only needed on ice and plowed-down roads, neither of which I like to ride on. Trails need paddles. I've toasted untold numbers of "stud boys" on the trails in short blasts with my paddles. They just plain hook up. Paddles do bring the top end down a bit though. Maybe we can get something together this winter, Jeff and I will discuss it. |

I just need a sled and a ride! I'm in. Between all of you sled "guys" and Jeff's 'Yota or Bird's 'Burban (Not Bourbon Pete), can I catch a ride? If so...count me in...all in!
