Actually, I have no idea if I can beat that Yami. But, you can bet we'll be finding out soon.

My log in over there is Twin Vipers :drink: or maybe this one:angry-smiley-038: just cause you have a cat:drink:. What I found most useful in the site was while venturing to new areas you post where your going and gat lots of good feed back. I also found that getting trail condition reports straight from the last guy out on them was a little better than the once a week updates.

Why not get a handheld? I know some guys that use them for hunting. Comforting thought there, guy in the woods with a loaded gun not even smart enough to even get back out. But why wouldn't it work on a sled?

P.S. Tell your wife that the Velocity chit has to wait till next week. I used all my allowance money for this week to buy Whipple kits for the Biotch and don't have anything left for the UPS charges. But next week is looking good! :D

HCS = hardcoresledder. As for the GPS yes a handheld would work but they all don't like the cold for the most part. Which means you have to stop dig it out of where ever you buried it. then wait for it to figure out where in the He!! you are. The other problem I've seen is that there is no good source for traill maps to be loaded, so now that you no where you are where do you go from here when you're surrounded by white space and not a road in site. You basically need to plot them your self and save them. Myself, I've opted for the good old reliable map and stick in the nice clear window of my tank bag. For speed runs and comfirmation that are sleds will blow away yours and daves boat, now that will work:drink:

Bout time one of you two stepped up to the plate for the challenge. Now all we need is a pace boat/sled and a couple of third parties at the end to confirm that I'm still King of The River:drink:

Got an estimate on the paint this afternoon $400.00 with a 95-98% Guarantee that I won't be able to notice the blend lines? What do you think go for it or not, Cheryl already gave me the go ahead:drink:?

Sounds more than fair to me, actually based on shop rates and paint costs now it sounds like a bargain. Get R Done!

Now lets make sure we're on the same page here, Singer and back?

Sounds like one of those "When he!! freezes over deals" to me. I haven't seen the St. Lawrence freeze solid since I was a kid. Hot Stepper is going to have his work cut out for him next summer.

On a side note, I was talking with Jake this afternoon and he tells me he has a sled for me that you couldn't touch if you mount both of your "twin" triples on one sled. Only draw back is the one his buddy built, just like the one Jake has, sold for some $57K. Yea, $ 57,000.00!!! I'm thinking this thing is the snonmo version of the Cat Killer.

Make sure you post before and after pics. Otherwise we won't know if you actually had it done or you're just strokin' us again.

Plus then we can critique the work!:D

No, Axa was on something else, this one is reserved for the real high roller. Did you miss the $57,000.00 tag? Jake is thinking a little less, but this ain't for the faint of heart, or wallet for that matter. I just can't imagine what makes a sled worth that much. I guess like mega buck custom Harleys there's an a$$ for every seat. His buddy sold his to someone named Hendrick, not the Rick, but supposedly related.

That should be a piece of cake, solid black and a solid red should be reasonable to match. I was thinking yours had some fade work as well. You're in man, should look like new.

All is calm..........All is bright!!! A man with kids should at least know the words. I believe that "calm" is the word of the week !/? Tis the season of "Just don't give a flying fu@k!"

Imagine that, a registered nobody being the center of attention. What has the world come to?

Clear here, few flakes in the air mid afternoon. Great day, spent it all outside installing new heat tapes on my roof. This new semi-retirement chit is suiting me fine, just fine indeed :D. ( semi-retired: new term for little better to do than fu@k off doing chit that might never get done if one had something somewhat better to do.) And fitting for a guy that turned 56 yesterday, don't you think?

Just what would you like to get "Fired Up"? Hot Steppers claim to "King of the River"? Can his sled really run in 3 footers?

Thanks Jeff. Reggie has me by a few though.

Maybe someday I can tell you about the old days on the River. When the hot boats didn't have flat screen TVs and all the bling. The time when we used the stars, landmarks, and sextants to navigate. Back in the good old days when I was King of the River, before Hot Stepper took over.

Raggeds quote "Just what would you like to get "Fired Up"? Hot Steppers claim to "King of the River"? Can his sled really run in 3 footers?[/QUOTE]"

In the sledding world we call them moguls (or wopped out trails), not much different than running in chop just running on the crest and work the chit out of the suspension.

PS happy belated founders day

Not only do they still do it, but it now has two dates first one typically is the first friday after the first day of summer, second is the weekend after labor day. And then just around the corner (point) is Muskamoot bay the home of the worlds famous raft off - have you ever seen a raft off that ran close to a mile in length? If any of you guys want to make the run out here let me know. Any questions about jobie nooner, check out there web site just google it.

Just realized Cheryl was looking over my shoulder, her comment was your incouraging this. All I could do was smile

No Chit! You mean without the crutch of a GPS screen? Amazing what a kid left to his own in a small boat can learn over the years, as you grow your horizons expand. I do have to hand it to you for the "tour", some new places for me. Though you could pick up the pace from time to time. Maybe next summer we can do a Kingston to Sacketts or Henderson lake crossing. No GPS allowed, we'll simply go thataway!

Yeah what he said. My bird tomorrow will be in the form of JetBlue to Ft. Lauderdale. Anyone who needs anything from the Aqua Toy Store let me know, we can throw rocks at the Fountain dealership from where we stay. They actually have a couple 100+ mph fountains there.
