Maybe because the lakes and rivers are a little on the chunky/solid side and all the little boats are wrapped up in there shrink wrap?

You ready for the anniversary festivities? :D

You are right Pete, he sent me those pictures as well. That is some serious chit right there.
We were laughing at the fact I have already logged approx. 1700 miles for the season and a HUGE day for him would be maybe 60 miles.
Totally different riding styles ..... i would of had a freak'in heart attack if I was in his last perdicament.

Awesome country out there!!! That last cluster was something for sure, but still you have to appreciate being in God's country. Some day before I leave this world I need to see that.

1700 miles! That's a lot of ball bustin'!

Speaking of ball bustin' shouldn't we ratchet that back up here? I understand there might be some good topics now. ;) ;)

Happy Anniversary!

So where were we one year ago today? What was the hot topic?

Ah, for the good old days. :ernaehrung004:

So what's up with all the players? Pretty quiet here on the old Ball Bustin' thread. It's like someone, or something, must have died. Did we somehow miss the obit? :(

Hope all the Birds are resting comfortably, the season is just around the corner.

All I can say is that "some of the gang" pulled a prank on "one of the gang" and it quite obviously was not taken well by that "one of the gang". Apparently "one of the gang" was a little touchie on the subject matter of the prank, such as it was. Then "one of the gang" subsequently got a little carried away with things. When it got pushed way out of hand by "one of the gang" the pranksters fessed up, so that "the innocent one of the gang" not be further crucified for the deed, apologies of sorts were offered up, and now it appears that the "Ostrich Syndrome" has set in. I guess that's a side effect of a "ball bustin'" thread, as they say............"Some days you're the windshield, Some days you're the bug". Ain't fun being the bug. God damn do I understand that!!!

So why didn't you stop in to see me this weekend at the Boat Show? I would have bought your better half a burbon and coke. :ernaehrung004: And explained my theory on "stock" power.

As for the CNY Boat Show................ Team HBW did a bang up job, boats were sold (placed a sold tag myself), and things are looking good for the season.

I just got this one in an email news letter and though all of the sledders on here would enjoy it check this one out. This is a 16mm demo film of the Armstead Snow Motors Company concept snow vehicle. It was filmed in 1924. The concept is applied to a Fordson tractor and a Chevrolet automobile. The original film is part of the collections of the Archives of Michigan.

We have not been back to the show for years...The last times we went they just had nothing that interested me..Maybe the last time I had a interest was when HBW had a Sonic to look at.That may have been the first time I met you Pete..I remember it well.:drink:

I know what you mean. For years we would go to see the new hot rods, now it's a sea of bow riders and cruisers. I did wander around a bit on Sunday afternoon just to see if anyone was showing any performance boats. Only one I saw was a 28 Velocity at the Fast Forward booth, they had done some repair work and a super looking paint job on it and had it displayed. Sign of the times I guess. You almost have to go to Miami to see the perf boats now, most shows have very few on display anymore. Didn't even see any Bajas By Fountain ( ;) ) in the RC Congel space.

There was a black Clownline with "thru the side of the hull exhaust" next to us, guess it was the show "Hot Rod".

Sounds about like the Detroit Boat show, Cheryl and I went last year and the only powerboat on display was a (1) formula, I just check this years exhibitor list and it was the same.

August 7 - 16 ????

Anyone interested in doing a "tour of duty"? I just booked off that week and I am going to do a tour from one end to the other so to speak.

Aug. 8th is the 1000 island Poker Run and the first weekend for Pirates Weekend in Abay. The weekend of the 15th is the second weekend of Pirates in the Bay.

I was planning on arriving in the Bay area on the 7th, hangin around for the Run on Saturday and hit the Bay that night then get out of dodge on Sunday. Either heading east to Cornwall/Montreal area or west to Picton/Belleville area or up the Rideau from Kingston or pull the boat and trailer to somewhere in the early part of the trent and go up to Georgian Bay.

First question is. Anyone interested?
Who wants to go where?
Who wants to join me?

Unfortunately i am limited to that week because of where i work. That being said I hope all of you are interested .... the more the merrier! This doesn't have to happen all in 2 days either. We have a total of 10 days here ... the way i look at it is 2 for trailering and 8 for boating.

Think about it let me know who is in so we start to plan the "MAIN EVENT".

Jeff

Georgian Bay. I know I won't have any problems getting Cheryl to go. just have to hope the timing works. We might have to meet you from the opposite direction, but we would both love to make that trip. Already got five out of five great lakes under the belt, guess we'll have to add to the total area. As I mentioned timing wise depending on work, we would definitly be game. Aslo there was another post on here about a group that does the Georgin bay on an annual basis.....The more the marrier if timings right.

Go West Young Man!!!

I've done the east to Montreal and on to Tois Rivere, (Three Rivers) Quebec. The Old Port of Montreal is neat but the locks suck, east of Montreal is like boating in a cow pasture, flat and boring, and we were running a Poker Run thru there. West I would be interested in for sure. Not so sure on the Rideau in a perf boat, but Picton, Bellville and maybe Toronto could work. Or run the U.S. side to the end of the lake. Not a real good time for Samantha at work, but I could likely hook Doug, aka Rock Star, for a guy trip early in the week. Maybe the Canadian side then cross the lake and back the U.S. side?

It's early, so lets bounce this around and see what happens.

The Biotch is a proven and reliable ride, I'd trust her to venture out on any journey.
But she does like the dock at night. A little quirk I know, but what can I say. :ernaehrung004:

My little guy was quite entertained by that vid. He looked at and cocked his head. Stared at it for like 10 seconds. Cute.
