No, I think he's just trying to cover up his own boondoggle by trying to shift the attention on me. Afterall who parks a boat on a ramp and passes out in it in a fishing area where the guys show up at the crack of dawn, bait in hand and ready to go? Drives all over the lawn, knocks down and drags the marker cones, finally launches the boat, only to leave lines draging in the water and then backs over one and stalls out one motor while making an attempt to get it to the dock? Did I really look that foolish in MV 35 Hottie's shoes? I think not! |

Pleased to show you Axa finally got a pair! Little gay, but best we could do for him on short notice. |

The big party at the Pond this weekend was one to remember. It rivaled the Pig Roast at 3 Mile Bay. One chick was on the beer pong table dancing - totally unclad - I mean nothing on!!!! One of the "Boy's" GF's apparently didn't like that so later she punches the table dancer out!!! Then, it's like 10:30 or so, we hear this ruckus out in the water, figure it's just people swimming, NOT. A float boat carying way too many people and all of the band's gear, amps, guitars, boards, speakers, the whole works, sinks!!!!! Evidently, the engine quit, everyone on the float boat goes back to the stern to see whats wrong, they upended the boat completely, it fricken rolled right over - upside down. All the gear, all the people, 500 beer cans, everything, in the drink.:picard1:
Next day, it took like 30 guys to right the boat. Zero recover of sound equipment as far as I know, like it's worth recovering anyway. What a party, absolutely wild. Couldn't even count how many boats were there. |
One of the guys performing at the party who lost his equipment in the "incident" is P.J. Shaggy. Got Twins renamed him P.J. Soggy!!:D
P.J. probably won't see the humor in that!!! |

Twins, any of you makin' it for HarborFest? If I can get out early I will be there. If not I will probably pass. I have the kids this weekend. There is a possibility I might drive to Oswego instead. It would be much easier if it is past 6pm for me. Are you at the same spot? Is it called the "International Harbour or Marina"? If you get a chance give me a shout ..... Jeff |

This summer has been the worst I can remember, can't get two good days in a row. And, for this summer, a good day is 75 degrees. I need some 85 degree weather and some nice warm summer nights dammit!!!! I guess we're going to dunk the boat today but I have to ask myself why. :traurig001::traurig001::traurig001: Man Dave!!!! You must be getting old..I hear a lot of whining out of you this year....I was thinking this weekend was not bad. Wish I could have stayed with the smart ones that took Monday off up at lake view:drink: |

It was a nice day though, I have a good view of the lake from my office. Pachanga Mike and Laurie were up at Lakeview, they stayed with some others overnight Sunday. I'm in Buffalo now, vendor audit. Back Wednesday night then off for ten days. |

Since I may not have a slip in the boat house cause half of you on here made reservations before me I believe it should be good turn out exceot for those electing to turn tail and hide for the day:drink: All in fun, hope we can all get together for another run like last year.

Hip is good to dance with Mom this year!!! |
Just need the woman and the dog and we are on the road for the bay. :evilb::evilb::evilb: Let August Begin :boat:
|
Couple things here,
Congrats to Sonic Bob for the "Cleanest Boat in the Swamp" award. Good thing they didn't see the boat sunday morning in the Pond! 5PM and the "Woman" did show in the Bay on saturday, with Mich the wonder dog. The slip did shudder a bit on move in, but WTF it will adjust. :D It would seem the mysterious and everpresent undercurrent has somehow left the slip, 5P nailed it on the first try. Thumbs up to 5P, like I said, you're a better man than it's seen in a while. Axa apparently did not pizz off the captain on Alan Jacksons 80+ foot Berger yatch with his runaround deal on friday afternoon. The Berger was at the Riveredge this afternoon along with the tag-along boat, both amazing pieces. The Berger is some 30+ years old and looks like it left the factory yesterday, awesome classic yatch. |

Hip is good to dance with Mom this year!!! Took the boat for a good shake down this weekend out in Lake Huron, 2-4 foot chop small craft advisories and made for a smooth run at about 50-60 with the wind and 40-50 into it:drink: 30 mile run from Port Huron up to Port Sanilac. |

Having backed down and secured my boat into that slip for 13 years, often times solo, and never made contact it would seem it can be done successfully by someone who knows how to handle a twin engine boat. Though having never frequented that slip you would know nothing about your own propwash off the wall and it's occasional effect. BTW... Hows the copycat clothesline working out for you? I'm sure even with that little helper you not bringing precious in without assist. Can you even get directly from the cockpit to the deck? I'm sure 5P is enjoying what I've done before him as much as you are. ;) |

I'm sure 5P is enjoying what I've done before him as much as you are. ;) Was only going on past reports, no current data on the situation for this year. Others have been in and out without comment, so I assume a change may have occured. The clothes line deal works well, not a bad idea. I have made some mods to mine that makes for install, level adjustment, and removal without having to perch an extension ladder on the finger docks. Same basic deal, just thought out and taken to the next level. ;) Some folks find me quite clever, 5P is using the upgraded version as well. Although there was mention of pulleys and laundry. I do manage to come and go on my own, thank you. Access to the bow of a Fountain is quite easy. Ever notice the walk ways down the side of the deck? Not little ones cluttered with bow rails, actually designed to be used, quite well thought out, and handy. No need to climb over the windshield whatsoever. |

Not this week anyways with the trip planned. Too much to do now just to get ready. Although, it would be pretty funny to get a batch of Jackie in the machine...we could watch them all fall down after a couple. :drink: Dave |
