We are probably taking out that 42 lightning w/700s I was talking to you about ..... for it maiden voyage .... Going back to Sodus Bay .... Jeff |

That's right! I said it........ I'm only dragging the boat to keep things equal .... call it my handicap .......... :lolhit: Jeff Doesn't GMC make the Corvette? At least that's what I thought.... Dave |

Water is high ..... Jeff Stopped in the Bay couple weeks ago and it looked down a foot, maybe a foot and a half for this time of year. Most of the smaller rivers around are not very high, low for early spring. So am I correct here, the great asphalt derby is now a Viper, Corvette, and a tricked out GMC 3/4 hauling 10K worth of plastic? |
You are partly correct Reggie ...... but I am pulling my boat not yours !!!!!

:lolhit: Jeff So how much does that sled weigh minus you and the keg of the Captain ? I see a whole new banter possibility here. My boat weighs more than yours! :blahblah: |

Water is down quite a bit on the river. Definately not a high spring. Think they are drawing water pretty good.
That was my impression, but Fountain guy must be wrong again. Must be when Captain Morgan launched the Queen Mary it raised the Lake level. :eekdrop: |
Easy now ....... I was reffering to what yours was worth .... not the weight!
But since you went there ........ I have to guess that my old bird weighs pretty close to 11500 - 12k full of fuel on trailer .... But that is just just a guess ....... I am not as wise as the GREAT RAGGED REGGIE ..... :cartman: Jeff |

Good...............bolted on a set of 315/25R 22's a few minutes ago to put a bit more tread down and help with the launch.:poopoo: |

If you remember I mailed you and Bird the old Formula brouchers I came across, thought you guys might think they were interesting. Would be interested in your thoughts after you get the run in that 700 Six Drive 42 Lightning. Far as what the Biotch is worth ..... for sure less than what I have in it!!! Such is life, still puts a smile on my face. Afterall, that was what I paid for. Guess I'll just call it a wash. P.S. I think I'm around 12,500 on the trailer, inc the trailer, with some amount of fuel in the thing. In my mind not a real Cannonball race rig, IMO a Road Hog. WTF I'm old and stupid. |

Recommend an adhesive. I'm sure Latham wants $50 for a new one.
Just rip the thing off and be done with it. Can't see the F'n thing when the boat is in the water anyhoo. Like the Merc decals, they look great on a trailer queen but they all come off in the real world. However, My Fountain steering decals are still hanging in there. They were put on with Ron Popeil glue in a can, real good chit!!! :party-smiley-004: |

Don't be bustin' on maintence. An ounce of prevention is said to be worth a pound of cure. So they say. |
So....launch dates?

Petie envy! :poopoo: Now I have to launch on the 3rd, why do you do this chit to me? Just when I settle into a program, someone has to go and F'it all up. P.S. Wish I could just park all my bad chit in a cement cube in the yard and let someone worry about later. Like a century or two down the road. |

Funny Hutchinson's Boathouse story about the turn-downs...... as we back into our slip for the weekend ( with thanks due to Ragged Edge ) some of the neighboring cruiser crowd comes to grab a line and help us in. Before I even get the engines turned off, they inquire why my boat is so politely quiet. I explained about the turn-downs and they continue to compliment how well they work.
Within a few minutes they then ask why I think the other "loud-boat" guys in the boathouse don't have any on their boats. I explain to them how macho it feels to have a loud and/or fast boat and those less secure with their 'man-hood' seem to keep 'em loud to compensate for possible shortcomings. They chuckled briefly, then shook their heads in agreement while surveying the loud-boat guys' rigs !:lolhit: |

Dave UUHHhhmmmm, one of the boats they were looking at was yours ! Keep sneaking out on our home water for these 'tuning sessions' without prior notice or written approval and I will have to keep taking shots at you. Must confess I was on the Big Pond yesterday with Captain Morgan checking out a very nice new addition to the local fleet. It was not a F'a boat, it was a fast F'n boat. |

I would surely give you a call if I thought I could give ample notice and have you tag along. So I hear it's transformer yellow? Mine's magnetic red! Let the cannonball begin! Plans to be at the River this year? Dave |

Hey! My Corsa Quick & Quiet is on always around the boathouse. I get abused based on my neighbors that take 20 minutes to get in their slip and feel the need to see the tach hit 5k before they switch off the key

Our session Friday confirmed how ruined my senses are. 97 was a huge disappointment, felt slow. May get to the river for the ABay Poker Run, won't be there in August as we will be in Buffalo for that great run. Each year a weekend spent with you all is a highlight of the season. Is it possible the cruiser folk were complaining about the noise from the operators, not the boats ?:lolhit: |

My indescretion was post the Quiet Time sign and the revision of rules applying to one's conduct in the Boathouse. Made my apologies to those that brought it up to me. End of story. Far as I know there was no need for trips to the office of the Commander for drawn out conversation, rule changes, or clamp down on the behavior of Boathouse occupants percieved to be out of line. The Boathouse is much like any neighborhood, diverse opinions of right and wrong. People often find fault with something another does. As years have passed I have become a firm believer in the old verbage "Put your money where your mouth is" The simple way to deal with the neighborhood, simply fix it to suit yourself. Write the check and deal with it!!! Of course it does help to have a friend that is very handy with his toys. I'm happy now, as are the neighbors. Well, except for the one biotch that made it a point to tell me she was upset that the equiptment trailer was somewhat blocking the road. |

20 minutes to get in the slip, not me! Tweek and tune in the slip, not me! Nothing to tweek or tune in the slip with puterfied EFI engines. You're either on the right side, or the other. P.S. My choice is not only quieter than yours, but waaaaay quicker! |
