Reggie Sr. was picking out some of the things Wilson does to the drives saying how nice they were. To answer your question yes it was worth it to me. If I was to do it over I wouldnt change a thing. Everybody I worked with was great, I couldnt of asked for any better treatment.

Thanks Reggie, you all made it a great experience for me. Prices were more than fair and service was off the charts, the great thing about dealing with FPM is that you guy's have already done all the testing before hand and have all the right answers without using me as a guiney pig. I will be back for future updates.

TRL505 05-22-2012 09:34 PM

God those lowers are nasty!!!!

TRL505 06-13-2012 08:18 PM

So hows it running? Updates? Details?

The boat runs great, had a soleinoid stick on my port trim pump while I was trimming up, the steering bracket just barerly bottomed out on the swimdeck. needless to say it was enough to crack my gimbal ring. in process of changing it now. I should have it back together for the weedend. Every thing works great, no complaints. Still getting used to the feel of these drives, not the same as the old bravos. So far I'm very happy with it all.

Wondering how things are going now that you have had some more time in the boat with the new set up?

KWright 08-01-2012 09:28 AM

Runs great, it runs up on top of the water now,if you know what I mean. When running in the slop it stays up on top and flies level, It doesn't seem to launch off one wave and crash into the next any more. Probably has alot to do with the big wheels and high x. Getting on plane is good, not as easy as the bravo,s but far from being bad. Cruise speeds likes neutral or a touch neg trim. wot maybe one click positive but not much more, all depends on how calm it is.
The only down side is when you put it in gear, it drags the motors down from 900rpm to 350rpm, can make around the docks a little tricky. this winter i'm putting 525efi intakes and computers on them so that should take care of all my problems.
As far as the other work I had done love the short winsheild,no more cruiser look for me. The FPM water system works flawless. water pressures are steady and constant, engine temps run right at 150, oil runs 200. even after a good wot jaunt they dont vary more than 10 deg.
So all in all I'm very happy, If I had it all to do over I would do it the same.

TRL505 08-01-2012 10:53 AM

Very nice...

High and tight, their so close i cant run tall deck blocks.:lolhit:

1 MAIDEN AMERICA 11-03-2012 09:19 AM

Wilson did your lowers, right?
With calipers, how thick, at the thickest point, is your skeg?
From front to rear, how far from the leading edge of the skeg does it start to get thinner again, on average?
How thick is the trailing edge of the skeg?
What's the length from the bottom of the bullet to the bottom of the skeg?
Since the SCX-4 skegs are twice as thick and an inch longer than my old SC -1's I'm thinking I should do a little more trimming.
How's the porosity of your skeg look? Mine have some. It takes a bright light to see it but it's there.
Thanks
Rob

When are you going to buy my 3.3 Whipples? That would make for a "well over the century mark" piece. Hint hint...

I was thinking that would be easier to get the power.

You remember the old shirt:

"Injection is nice

But I'd rather be blown"
.:evilb:

Could be a option down the road but for now I will have to settle for
The injection.

TRL505 11-04-2012 10:05 AM

I could save you a LOT of money vs buying a new pair.....Yes, I have not shame.

mcprodesign 11-04-2012 10:16 AM

Blowers with fuel injection is the best :D

Don't know what your short blocks are. but I would say you need blowers to turn those -4's and Props you are running. But that is what I think. You could probably get whipples under the hood on your boat but that would mean different pistons than efi pistons.

Chad

I think the new t should read. " It's nice to be injected and blown " lol btw we sold over 500 of those T's you are talking about in 1980

Chad

New short blocks

Dart big m with billet caps, piston oilers, bronze lifter bores
Callie's dragon slayer cranks
Oliver billet rods with bolt upgrade

Yes pistons would probably have to be changed. I think we'll be ok without blowers though will know better once Reher-Morrison gets intakes and heads and flows everything.

I woulds think IF you whippled this set up it would go from 50 - 100 in about 1.5 seconds :lolhit:

Funny how we both have X Race Boats raced by the Fountains. And we are both in the mid 90's looking for 100. I'm thinking 2-3 mph by fixing my bottom and 2-3 by switching to Hering 5 blades.. We shall see. If I ever get done w my bottom. :D

mcprodesign 11-08-2012 11:37 AM

That's the bed in my 38 Monaco Dynasty. There has been 2 things in that bed before that were wet, but they weren't props. :D

1 MAIDEN AMERICA 11-08-2012 05:31 PM

I kept my props in the bathroom. That way I could **** when I got the bill, and shave.

mcprodesign 11-08-2012 08:17 PM
