Long Island Sound Funrun??
#122
I do not know if this was a topic at the route meeting and this is by no means an organized or sanctioned event. However, if we get the turnout I expect, we WILL be a presence. That said, I would strongly recommend that all persons in all boats wear appropriate PFD's (a requirement in organized poker runs, etc.). As Steve has mentioned several times we want to have as much fun as possible but need to be responsible at the same time. Safety and courtesy to all should be the watchword...10 to 20 boats of this magnitude will draw quite a bit of attention and I would rather us be perceived as a group of sportsmen rather than lunatics. Hope you all agree.

Hi guys,I had to get in on this one,is what the southshore needs, a good place to go with a bunch of boats is the westhampton bar and grille, thats where the hottietoddy run goes to and i think they would welcome boaters, plenty of parking, good food and drink!! Tripps

hey Nolimits,Yes I'm ready, what do you think about the place i mentioned?? Its about 5 miles east of the moriches inlet. Does anybody know the guy in massapequa that has or had a Fountain with 2 598 chevies built by either Ferrara or Sharioff?? Im looking to find him for some parts he told me about. Another spot to go to is Violets Cove just east of the William Floyd bridge, plenty of parking. Check out the superboat forum, most of my posting is on there even though i have a velocity
Let Me know if you are having another meeting about the run,I'd like to join you guy's and spill some drinks!!!
