Bruin- you're way too charitable. Rob literally needed to have a near-death experience before he became motivated enough to fix this. The upside... one more scumbag outed.

I just re-read the inital thread but not all 13 pages.... if Navy Legal fails you, go to your ISIC JAG for action, I am on a Carrier Strike Group staff for a two star, if your Navy your ISIC is someone that can help.... and our JAG is not that busy... trust me...
Feel free to call me, PM me and I will see if I can help.

BD,
Hope all is cleared up for you by now. You've had alot more patience than I would over this, good for you.

Chris S.
Your right, this guy Rob, would have never lifted a finger, UNTIL bruin d. got his attorney involved. Some people have no conscience when it comes to $$!

V V,
Awesome picture. Nice, the shock wave on the water's surface is impressive!

Good news: I just got off of the phone with Region's Bank and they told me that the check has cleared, the loan is paid in full, and they sent the paperwork off to the Coast Guard (anyone have an idea how long it should take the CG to release the lien?).

Bad news: I finally found out the entire (I hope there isn't more) truth to this. Apparently when I bought the boat for 37K he owed 45K on it. No big deal. However, he did not have the 8K to pay the difference so he just put my money into his account and was basically living off of and paying the payments with my money. He refinanced his house to pay my boat off but I wasn't going to wait for another excuse of why the boat wasn't paid off yet so he was able to get a loan from his parents to pay off the boat while he waits for his refinance money. Also, the 4K, 5K pay off numbers he was giving me were BS. He owed $36,812 to clear the title!!!! WOW!!!

Hopefully I will OFFICIALLY own my boat in the very near future. Please, if you are looking at boats, cars, etc. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT I DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again for all of the help.
