If you're doing it this winter you'll obviously be able to see how I pan out. I know you've been following my thread but I have to re iterate. My problems haven't really been related to the arneson. We've only splashed it a couple times due to the other issues you've probably read about.
I think/ hope it's just going to be finding the right style prop and adding the additional trim pieces to the drive rik has sent ( thanks rik
) We will know more when we splash again in the next couple weeks. If it runs like stink I think you'll have your solution. Besides, set up time for you will surely be less because of the knowledge we can share about the set up.

Why would you want that heavy drive?? With a 26' boat, weight is your enemy. Arneson and/or Weismann are the way to go.

weisman has a new duo prop drive as well that will handle some big hp...counter rotating props at speed...priceless.

Jeff, I would think the #6 would be just as much work to convert to as the arneson. Recut transom, move engine forward, bottom work, etc. Just a guess though. It would probably be worth a call to arneson and wiesmann to see what they have to say.

26 REDLINE,
This is the drive you need;

Here it is running. Notice there's NO torque steer at all;

Well I have been pondering on what to do, I just got off the phone with Mike @ Konrad, great guys but the ACE is only rated for 800hp, I have not talked to Weisman, or Rik @ Arneson, but I don't know if thats the rout I want to go, I can do a number 6 with no boat modification the engine can stay where it is, but I am still looking at other options, I love the duoprop setup of the weisman so I am going to give them a call tomorrow, but I am not going the rout of the IMCO SCX, I might as well keep what I have, I appreciate everyones input and please keep it coming every little bit helps...

Two big pluses for the Arneson are:
1. The engine stays in the same location
2. The box which holds the transmission, is designed to go over the cutout for the bravo.
PS: They are lighter than a #6 also.
