Are you sure? Better check
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_Ram
Maybe assembled, but Dodge moved more jobs out of the country than any of the other big 3, mainly Mexico. GM moved tons of jobs to Canada, but not as many as Dodge.....but those don't count cause the profits are coming back here and doing what? I have listed all the global companies building factories here, and guess what?
If you read the wall street journal you will see that more global car manufactures likes Nissan, BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, Kia, and others plan to build more factories HERE! http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...490039626.html
So explain to me again what is an American car? I forget.

If you like your tinny foreign truck and it treats you right, great, buy it and like it. Quit wrapping yourself in the American flag doing it with your outdated and false BS about foreign companies being so great for the US. Again, Toyota employs less than 1/3 of the Americans than GM to sell similar volume, how is that possible since they are "most American" according to you? Why did the tsunami shut down Toyota IN THE US if they are so American, note the Big 3 didn't lose a day of production. How many plants does Toyota have in the US, GM has 17. Please keep cherry picking the few models that are built in Canada or Mexico and acting like it is the normal. GM/Ford/Chrysler have invested more since 2008 and added more jobs than anyone, but you point out some little tiny additions by foreign companies. Why don't you link to the new Honda plant in Mexico, the new Audi/VW plants in Mx? If it weren't for the big 3, nobody would be building in the US. The transplants know that they come here, employ 3k people in a plant and fools like you will believe how American they are.
You know why you keep up this crap, because you are rationalizing buying foreign. You know it is short sighted, does not help the US, so you keep grasping for straws to feel ok about it. People who buy a Toyota and just say "I like it for the money" aren't the same as what you are doing. That's honest and you can't find fault with that.

Capt Toyota troll, have you read any of the links I provided? Seems you blew past them while posting more of your anecdotal BS about 15 year old cars like it is gospel on 2013 model year. You have no clue of actual economic impact, you have no clue on reliability, real or perceived for 2013, or really on anything from what I can tell.

Listen captain uaw,
The big difference between you and me is a I don't a rat's ass what you buy, I am after a more reliable vehicle and have found it in everything I have owned that wasn't made by the big 3. I buy what I want based on my experience, with my American made money.
I am not hear trying to get people to buy Toyota, I am here defending my right to own something that I see is better than what I have purchased in the past. Yes it bothers me that a truck you uaw ass suckers won't sit in or drive you will call jap scrap. But who cares, keep buying what you buy, it keeps my customers in business!
I've said it before, the car world is a GLOBAL MARKET. Yet you try to show biased stats to make the big 3 sound better, my stats are showing that is more equal than you think.
I never said once that Toyota is doing more for the USA than the big 3, I just said they are doing enough to earn my business.
Times have changed. The japs, Koreans, Germans, stole our market share cause we let them buy not producing a competitive product. In the past 4 years the big 3 have made more improvements and innovations than they have made in 20 years! Just in time too, cause if the competition stole the rental car, program car, and truck market all 3 will be out of business! And the new generation doesn't care about name, they will buy anything...so better make something of value!
Btw. I do like the uaw effect on the economy. Back when we had the fisher guide, and new process gear factory here those guys blew every dime they made! Was great for the economy. Don't miss seeing them on the lake bragging about how they thought they made more money than anyone, wonder where they are now?

The engines in your boat were built in the 60's? I know, low hanging fruit, but questioning GM's " antiquated" push rod technology is just palin ignorenent. The lSx engines produced from 1997 on are proven as soom of the most dependable engines in the world as well as lightest, most compact and lowest center of gravity for HP potential.
